While my stay in Albuquerque was short it was very filling in the a beer. The Il Vicino tap room was the last stop on my map of must see before going home. Let’s just say after spending a few hours here I was patting myself on the back for the choice. The help was spot on as Matt and Kyle not only kept my glass filled, but discussed the beer. It was a wed, but due to availabilty there was no cask, so Brady pulled out a 16 month old Irish that was devine. The locals add tons to the atmosphere as homebrewers and plan drinkers keep conversation going. The bar and shelfs are very plain, however the walls filled with brewing medals is very impressive. They had 7 beers on tap this night with a vast selection of styles. This is a must stop on anyones trip. Location is a bit industrial. Great night and awesome memories!

Just a taproom located in an industrial park. Always a great selection of Il Vicino beers that are super fresh. Had the double IPA on my last visit-excellent. Cask night on Wednesday-IPA was wonderful. And the young fellow behind the bar is a great bartender. At the end of the night you just go tell him how many beers you had and he rings you up-totally trustworthy.
This is always a repeat trip for when in the big Albucracky!!

One of my favorite places to relax and have a beer. Most are regulars and it has a great everyone knows your name feel, however newcomers are always well greated and treated. Beer is excellent and now that they have added a few new fermenters there are a lot of different styles to try every couple of months. Highly recommend.

This place rocks. Think Three Floyds-ish area - warehouses and other industrial such things - with a brewery stuck in the middle. Has a nice outdoor porch or patio, with a very small taproom inside. Seems like they went to a little bit of trouble to serve up beer for the regulars here, and that’s pretty cool in my book.

This is the original brewpub, I think there are 2 in ABQ now. I took my wife here on our first date and I will drive far out of the way to visit any Il Vicino (which are now all over the place). The food is A+ and they make some of my favorite beers of all time.

Make sure you go to the tap room and not the resturants. The service is great! The Stout Kicks @%#@! They have a 2-12oz limit on the stouts as they are 10% ABV. A definite place to go. No food, so bring your own.BYOF.

I agree here with Whaleman. Brady (head brewer) is such a freindly guy. He hosted a tasting there and it rocked! Its a really cool atmosphere-good size brewery and a small tap room with a small beer garden out front. I had a great time here.

It’s all about the beer here. This place is a minimalist tap room with no frills except for the beer. The bar and shelves look like they were made in someone’s garage in about an hour. 5 to 7 quality Il Vicino beers, brewed on the premises, are available to sample or enjoy in pints. Cask beer is available on Wednesdays, usually the IPA which is sometimes MELVINized through fresh hops. Keg and growler sales are also available. This is a really great place to spend an afternoon with good people.
