Itís hard not to fall in love with this place. We went there on a sunny, but cold, sunday afternoon, so we sat inside. Lovely vibe with lots of locals who come over to enjoy the very impressive beerlist with lots of geuzes and lambieks on it. Beautiful neighbourhood. As it comes to service, you have to go over to the bar and order it yourself, and then walk through the entire pub with your drinks, so I canít really give it more then a 7. But they were very very friendly though. Selection is nice with Girardin, Hanssens and Boon on the menu, all very well priced. Orval at a stunning 2.9 euro. Never seen this price in Belgium. Rochefort 10 at 3.5 euro, also crazy!Iíve given the food an arbitrary 7, cause we only had some "trappist" cheese, read Maredsous. Overall Iíd highly recommend this place for a chill sunday afternoon. Go walking, take your bike and enjoy a good beer/lambiek at this place afterwards! You will not regret it!

Brasserie on a beautifull location in the Pajottenland area. Very nice terrace and a lot of space inside. They have an extensive beermenu with draft lambic and a lot of Kriek and Geuze from bottle. Also a lot of other nice and well chosen Belgian beers. Very friendly service and very cheap. A bottle of oude geuze is about 3,5-4Ä. I would certainly recommend this bar!

This place has existed for a long time on ďthe other siteĒ and Iím surprised to be the first one to add it on ratebeer. This might be my personal winner for the Most-Middle-Of-Nowhere-Beer-Place Award. But this beer bar in the middle of nowhere it is nonetheless an old classic and a very well known place in Belgium. Also it has been listed on the ďother siteĒ for a long time. So Iím now adding it on ratebeer. I got to In Den Haas on a day biking for remote beer places and I stopped at In Den Haas on a Sunday after drinking wonderful lambics at In de Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst and then I continued my ride to drink more wonderful lambics at De Cam Volkscafe. Those three places are not that far from each other and the bike ride was simply wonderful on the small dirt roads crossing old windmills and wonderful sceneries. I highly recommend this very same Sunday bike ride, one of the highlight of my pub-crawler life. Sunday is the only day when all three of these places are opened. I would recommend against In Den Haas if it is not a nice day. The beer list, although extensive, has very few unusual beers and the main reason to go to In Den Haas is to sit outside in the middle of a field, dry some quality beer and enjoy the moment. I kept the beer menu, over 100 beers, 15 lambics, all suspects (trappists minus westy), Witkap, etc. Proper glassware. There was an orchestra practicing while I was there, not sure if it happens every Sunday. Again, although even if not worth the detour just for this place, I cannot recommend enough hitting de Grote Dorst on a Sunday at opening, then making your way to In Den Hass and then De Cam. A wonderful day.
