New Visit 20140828: Since the "old Ipanema" moved to the center of the city at Hoppy Pub, Ipanema now is more a coffee bar. There are 2 taps and about 30-40 bottles with some Greek micros and some Belgian beers among them. Older visits: The owner loves beer and makes his own beer. Very good selection of beers. Apart from Greek micros, German and Belgian beers which is now something common in many Greek bars, you can find US, Dutch and Danish beers. Nice ambiance, great music, friendly staff and great prices.

Best of luck to IPAnema, in it’s new life as a coffee bar. And a warm welcome to the IPAnema ’s crew new beer bar in. Thessaloniki, "the Hoppy Pub". After the opening of the Hoppy Pub, in the center of Thessaloniki, by the same owners, Ipanema turned into an all day coffee bar. Still there are a lot of beers to enjoy but not as before. There is a good selection of Greek micros, Belgian & German beers and always you can find some special craft beers as Brewdog, De Molen & Mikkeller. The ambiance is really nice and now everyone can enjoy the breathtaking view of this bar during the daytime. Good prices and really helpfulll stuff. Now the "brother" of Ipanema . the Hoppy Pub , is the craft beer place for beer lovers, that Ipanema used to be. Still it worth a visit for a beer if you ’re around the area. You ’ll enjoy a beer and take a break in a really cozy place in the nature, with a view over the sea and city of Thessaloniki...

Definitely the best beer bar in Greece. I’m from Athens and i really must say that thers no a same bar in capital. Ipanema have a plenty of beer/taps & bottle like mikkeller,de molen,flying dod and many many others some of them are really rare.I’m so happy living in tHessaloniki and have a good contact with the owner George Alexakis (a really beermaster) which can help you find the perfect beer for your tastes ;) Cheers guys P.S.: new beer bar upcoming at the center of Thessaloniki. Great ambience with rock music and wooden decoration. Great selection of craft beers as Mikkeller, De Molen, Port Brewing etc. And always some perfect craft beer on their taps. George the owner, is always there to help you with your choice. Definetely the paradise for the Greek beer geeks...

The best beer bar in Thessaloniki area. Huge selection of beers. There is something new on taps or bottled twice a week. I have tasted a lot of great IPAs here, IPAs from the States, Europe even from Greece and home made as well. You can find here every beer there is or there is not in Greece at the best price!

Probably the best beer bar in Greece, situated in an open space right outside Thessaloniki. Great summer garden with great view and warm atmosphere during the winter. Easy listening music. Huge, almost weekly updated, selection of foreign and greek beers, either on tap or bottles. Although the food selection is limited, the taste compensates for it. The only minus is the fact that you need a car to get there. If you land on the airport, before going to Thessaloniki drop by the bar. PS. Sit at the bar and have a chat with the amazing owner, next thing you’ll know is you making arrangements for your next visit there!
