84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 Brewbie (17) New York | March 9, 2013 Stopped at the new expansion and relocation out behind the old place. Nice and spacious. Open seating area and a nice bar with seating also. Pub food, samplers and pints. Outside there are picnic tables and fire pits. Quite a dfference from the old place. Still have merchandise, bottle/case/growler sales. They also have a root beer and a ginger beer. Food was fine, the service quick and friendly, looking forward to stopping back again when the weather warms and enjoy a pint outside and take the brewery tour. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Ron (24) Rochester, New York | October 14, 2012 From Brew trip 2011. Got there shortly sfter opening about 11am on a sat. (Delayed by town cops giving me a speeding ticket by Wegmans) My group of 4 had the lone operator’s sole attention for a while as he poured us a free sample of the 8 beers he had on tap. Very good. We each purchased some beer to take with us. (Not much of a selection that day) 1 friend was glad to purchase some good rootbeer that day. | 84 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 18/20 AleWife725 (66) Albany, New York | July 5, 2012 October 2011. A hidden gem. Looks like the front of a convenience store, and the ambiance is that of one too... except for the big wooden bar with all the taps off to the side. We tried 6 beers for free, with generous pours of each. Their beer tasted wonderfully fresh and the girl pouring was good to chat with. They sell beer lip balm there- I love their Flower Power version! A worthwhile stop, I will definitely be back. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 chriso (306) London, England | April 25, 2012 Not a huge amount to see here. It’s basically a shop front for the brewery, selling Ithaca beers, merchandise and some home brew supplies. The people were friendly and knowledgeable. There’s a fair chance of someone connected with the brewing being around (rather than just sales staff) and getting a look round. Free samples from tap. Bought a couple of bottles even though there was nothing new there for me. Definitely worth a look in if you are in town. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 17/20 adnielsen (325) Fort Collins, Colorado | March 6, 2012 Split with a homebrew shop with some very friendly staff members. Excellent beers though I wish they would use separate sample glasses or rinse the glass between beers. A bit outside of town | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 jeremytoni (139) Swedesboro, New Jersey | October 12, 2011 Decent little place to stop by if you are in Ithaca. They will pour you a free sample of all the beers that they have available. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 12/20 johnnnniee (70) Bedford, New Hampshire | August 6, 2011 I stopped in here recently while on vacation to pick up my fill of Brute. Basically you walk into a showroom looking store front with a bar off to the right for tastings. There are a smattering of displays on the floor a various beers and sodas for sale. They also make root beer and other sodas I believe. They have some home brew supplies along the back wall. They will take you on a tour if they aren’t to busy and you ask nicely. Samples are pretty generous and somewhat free-flowing. Groler fills can be had as well. I’ve been here twice, I’ll return again. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 shadey (51) Nashville, Tennessee | August 5, 2011 Storefront with brewery. They provide nice-enough tours and we saw the barrels for the experimental stuff. Crowded with college student. There were even two female students the stopped as part of their run and refilled growlers that they had in backpacks. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 rudolf (100) Buffalo, New York | August 1, 2011 A surprisingly small building with a storefront that serves as both the brewery store & a small homebrew shop. I’ve only been here on Brute release days, but the service has always been good. They have a handful of their beers on tap/for growler fills & their bottled line available chilled or at room temperature. Shirts & other swag is available too. Its a cool place to stop by if you’re in the area, or if they’ve got a special release. | 80 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 swoopjones (238) Buffalo, New York | August 1, 2011 great staff, great beer, great prices. Brute on tap, awesome. Looking forward to the planned expansion |
