| Toxygen (12), Sanford, Florida | | December 10, 2009 Decent place with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Common pub fare. A long beer tap list, but not a lot of great beers on it, and many were "out". Had a couple of local things I hadn’t seen before, but there’s not much good beer brewed in FL. A decent place for lunch and beer, but not a place I feel the need to go to regularly. | helzerr (1), Florida does not count - explanation | | April 19, 2009 Unique cuisine, several vegetarian items on the menu. Good beer selection. Service was lackluster. Jax seems to suffer from an identity crisis, pub or sports bar? | | UofFkid (32), Orlando, Florida | | April 9, 2009 Recently visited for the first time. I’ve heard alot about Jax and was pleasantly suprised. Great food selection and nice mix of beers on tap. Server was attentive to our needs, no complaints there.
Personally would like to see harder to find beers on tap, but still a decent selection. | | kiefdog (103), Tampa, Florida | | August 31, 2008 Visited in late July for lunch. Nice selection of draft and bottled beers (ranging from Sea Dog and some macros to Rogue, DFH, Hoegaarden, Gulden Draak, and others), some that I have not seen anywhere else in the area like the Left Hand Haystack Wheat that was on tap when we visited. Food selection can satisfy both meat-eaters and those health -minded or vegetarian, and the food and beer were both reasonably priced. Many recent posts have complained about service, but we experienced average or slightly better than average service on this visit. Worth a stop if you are in the area. | BlammoOrlando (1), does not count - explanation | | May 10, 2008 Jax, the former spot of College Park. Once a welcome refuge from the terrible service of the pizza bar & grill accross the street, now shows heavy wear in facility & staff. Legendary great customer service has fallen bitter and jaded over slowing patronage. A victim of the economy or of the shiny new Irish pub down the street? | Quietman (3), Florida does not count - explanation | | April 16, 2008 Good selection, pretty good food, decent atmosphere.Good place for having a brew with some friends if you don’t mind the questionable service. | ChetLemmons (6), orlando, Florida does not count - explanation | | February 4, 2008 i really enjoy this place. probably cause i live right down the road. a few really good sandwiches and some cool little pizzas. no fries, only chips, which i think is awesome. beer selection is pretty good, but they often don’t have or can’t find a few beers on their list. service is iffy, but it helps if you know what you want going in. great little relaxing bar. def worth checking out if you’re in the area. | NativeBeer (1), does not count - explanation | | January 21, 2008 Good neighborhood bar, with a cheers like ambiance. The service isn’t very good, but everything else is satisfactory. The beer selection is great, a bunch of good microbrews from around the US. Friday and Saturday night the bar is packed with local neighborhood patrons. | | dchmela (53), Orlando, Florida | | January 8, 2008 Good little place to get a some interesting beer and a good sandwich. Not quite as good as the old downtown, but it works. Also, I like to hit this after a round of golf at Dubsdread Golf Course (just around the corner). | | markwise (58), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida | | August 4, 2007 The service is iffy at times, but they have a decent selection of beers. They don’t have French Fries (only chips) in College Park. Good place to drink, not necessarily for food. They have a decent patio and they rotate taps, but I have seen nicer places. Plus the staff will serve, but they don’t know a lot about the beer, they only know what they have. Bottle prices are a bit crazy- Dogfish 90 minute for $7. |
