It’s not he best beer bar, but I like this place a lot. The ambiance would be perfect, but a bit too heavy on the hipster crowd, which is my complaint regarding the selection: too much PBR irony, good local stuff, but needs a little more taste to really become something that can stand up to the quality all around it. Food is excellent, every time I’ve been. Some of the best burgers and raw bar items that I’ve had in the city. Service is surly and generally dismissive, but I don’t need it to be different here. Prices are generally a little better than comparable places.

NIce old throwback kind of bar with lots of character from the decor to the tables and walls/moldings (clean bathrooms) .... pool table long windy bar and some table and booth seating ... service was quick the waitress was friendly too .... the selection was all local and had a nice mix of breweries/styles offerings from victory, yards, philly, manayunk, stoudts and sly fox were on tap ... The food was great had the bbq pulled pork sandwich which was tasty had a nice fresh bun came with good fries, clams were decent ..... value was 5-6 depending on the beer and sandwiches were around 10-15 .... they have a venue with all kinds of bands playing so check out the website to see the lineup .... would definitely regular this place

I went on a Friday night; the place was full, but not packed. I sat in a corner, so I didn’t really look at other people very much. Food was quite good; the French Fries and the sauce were pretty addictive. Falafel was also pretty legit. Beer selection was quite good. Everything was tap stuff from Philadelphia area breweries, which is cool because it really brought out some more obscure beers by noted brewers (Victory’s Mad King Weiss for example). Plus, they had casks, which were a really good call for the Bitter I had. The prices were fairly standard ($5 per beer). I enjoyed it. Waitress was nice and seemed to know a thing or two about beer. i think that they also have bands play there sometimes.

I only had one beer here but looked like they had a good selection. 6 or more cask beers! Nice! I dont know if that is the usuall or just philly beer week special. Couple regular taps. Lots of space to hang out. I will be back

Great dark ambiance, long bar, pool table. Pretty big place. Menus both food & beer are on chalkboard placed around the bar. Big concert venue upstairs. Pennsylvania area brewers only. Nice place. Reminds me a bit of Zeitgeist in San Francisco

First time there last night but hopefully not the last. Very dark inside and has an oldworld pub feel to it. The menu changes daily depending on what they can source locally and is only written on a chalk board. I had a falafel with hummus which was wonderful. Nice selection of local breweries on tap along with two cask selections. Nugget Nectar on cask! The waitress was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about the beers. food prices were excellent and beers were about average. Really liked it there.

I was there a while ago so this might be out of date but it was a good beer bar. Nice selection of craft brews that were priced right.

This place would have been really cool, were it not for the crowd of scenester, trendy, hip assholes that inhabited it. The music was absolute garbage, the girls were snotty and ugly, the dudes were complete dickheads. Service was terrible; took 15 minutes to get a beer. Went on a Saturday night, so perhaps I’ll have to go back during the week and give it fair shake. Otherwise, totally awful bar for any beer enthusiast worth his salt.

Nice bar. Good selcetion of beers on tap. Since Yards is just up the street they had quite a few of them on. Fodd as better than the average pub grub. If you want you sinus cleared try the hory sauce.The only complaint I have. It’s just a little to dark. Open a window. Let some light in.

great place to hang out! great beer selection, mostly local microbrews. 2 handpumped beers. all i ate was fries but their raw bar looked awesome!
