I count Kensington Wine Market in the big four of beer vendors (zyn, CSN and Willow Park south being the others), and while their selection isn’t as good and the layout of the beer section is super-cramped, their prices are good. Nice, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Rather good selection, some hard to find, some in cold. More wine and beer. Remember to pay for parking. I got the ticket! ($36.00)

A great little shop just outside Calgary’s downtown with a big focus on wine but a healthy beer selection can be found here. They seemed to have just about anything readily available in Alberta and the layout was easy enough to navigate. Not as much of a selection as Willow Park but as mentioned probably has fewer Canadian and more import options, but Willow Park overall is much better. However, this is MUCH more conveniently located for those in urban Calgary, and does have a good selection. Unfortunate layout. Visited early January, early evening. Only one staffer, who admittedly didn’t know much about beer. Beer selection is varied - local Alberta selection is poor. Surprisingly, a pretty good selection of Belgians and Euros. Doesn’t compare at all to Willow Park. |
