Brady123212 (1), brandon, Florida does not count - explanation | | May 17, 2012 I went into Kingdom Liquor for the first time today after reading so many positive reviews and knowing they have a great craft beer selection. The owner approached me immediately and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I replied that I was just browsing as it was my first time in. He replied, "just browsing," scoffed, said "whatever," turned and walked away. I’ve honestly never felt so uncomfortable or unwelcome in a store before and especially a small business on top of it. I’ll never be going back to this place nor would I recommend it to anyone else. Publix on Lumsden, Route 60 Liquors on Hwy 60 and ABC Liquors on Hwy 60 have very comparable craft beer selections and much better service. Kingdom is one small business to stay away from. | | weihenweizen (63), Charleston Area, West Virginia | | March 16, 2012 The owner welcomed me as I walked in the door. He walked around with me making recommendations and narrowed his recommendations based on what I was interested in. Service was truely 10 out of 10. Ambiance was good, the place was clean and well organized. Selection was a little limited, partly due to distribution and partly due to space. Prices were higher than average, but he gave me a discount. My biggest recommendation would be a small increase in singles and especially expand cigar city singles. What makes this place stand out was the outstanding service and better than average selection. I will certainly go back. | | misrahi (15), Tallahassee, Florida | | November 16, 2011 Small store with plenty of specialty liquor with a nice selection of craft beer in the back end of the store. Good selection for the limited amount of space. Awesome spread of Bells and other Belgians, though a little disappointing there weren’t more Cigar City brews. Owner is very knowledgeable though a little forward about bragging about his store, but all in all a must stop if you’re in the area.
| | HomeBrewHawk (20), De Soto, Kansas | | June 7, 2011 I hit this store totally by chance while rolling through Florida on vacation. We had stopped for something, and it was the closest store on my gps. When I pulled up, I was worried as the store is fairly small, but they had a solid selection of beers. Needless to say, I stocked up. They had a great selection of singles, which is nice for an out of towner. The guy running the place couldn’t have been nicer. He seemed to really know his beer. Picked up a lot of stuff that isn’t available in my area (Cigar City of course!) Well worth seeking out. | 0087341 (1), Land O Lakes, Florida does not count - explanation | | March 23, 2011 The best overall selection of beer in the Tampa area. If you like the BraseTap or the Would of Beer you must viste Kingdom Liquors in Brandon Florida. Your friend Steve Roberts. | | ontbeermaker (127), Ontario | | February 26, 2011 [ Updated March 7, 2011 ] Very nice owner he help me out right away. Not the biggest selection I have ever seen but the largest in the area I saw. It had a good amount of imports, I would have liked to have seen more florida beers, basically just cigar city and swamp ape. But it did a good job of fitting in with such a small store space. | | gnoff (200), Göteborg, Sweden | | February 5, 2011 Visited on Februay 1, 2011. My mate sebletitje brought me there so I could stock up on barley wine to get home for my BW tasting later in February. Very nice selection of BW as well as other beers, glad to some some imports from the nordic countries available as well. The owner was super friendly and very knowledgable. Make sure you stop by if in the general Tampa area, it’ll be worth it for sure! Also for me being swede, I had no complaints about the prices of the beers ;) | USFHopHead (1), FL, Florida does not count - explanation | | December 17, 2010 In my never ending quest to find a place with a good craft beer selection closer to my house i stumbled upon this place after some googling. I headed up there found it and at first I was a bit skeptical but after entering and receiving a warm greeting from the owner I started to look around. The first thing that quelled any worry about the selection here was walking straight into the center aisle and seeing it was entirely dedicated to beer! The whole left side was nothing but 750ml’s and other large bottles of craft beer! The right side had a huge selection of Belgian brews and other quality import beer. The center aisle dead ends into the coolers which are stocked with large bottles, 4pks, and 6pks of many great craft brews for those who need cold beer! surrounding the coolers and entire back of the store are shelves with individual 12z bottles, and 22z of even more beer! The selection they manage to fit into a store so small was VERY impressive!!! 6pk Holders are available in the back left corner so you can assemble your own 6 packs! This store is named Kingdom Liquors but it looks as is a beer store first and everything else second! The pricing was about what i would expect from a small business, slightly higher than your big chains but for me it’s totally worth it to support someone who takes pride in their craft beer selection like this store obviously does. Also for me at least at the end of the day i spend just about as much at the closest larger chains due to the gas i spend to get there compared to Kingdom. This place is definitely worth at least checking out for any craft beer enthusiast in the area. I know ill be returning often. | DalinRolen (1), does not count - explanation | | December 3, 2010 This is my new place to hunt for beers that i can’t get any where else. The owner and his wife are very knowledgeable on both beers and wines, and I always leave knowing a little more on the subject. The prices are somewhat high, but it is offset but the wide range of finds you can make in the place. | | beernovice39 (146), South Carolina | | July 31, 2010 [ Updated January 7, 2011 ] Well, Mr Deepak is indeed a very nice guy! Thought the prices were a bit steep. Bought a few I had not seen before which is a plus. |
