76 A good place to come for a drink, a short walk from the centre of town. It's a real old world pub. A few interesting beers to try like Hell's Bay old English Ale. The food was excellent. |
66 Small and very old pub, great atmosphere. More of a leaning towards local beer than last time i was here in 2010. |
78 A small pub with loads of character populated mostly by locals. At least 8 taps plus an unknown number of bottles. Very good fish and chips. Appealing architecture and distinctive interior. Friendly, attentive service. |
72 nice little place at the bend along the road.
it is where the locals drink. The house ale (knot ale) is a propeller brew which is a blend of their honeywheat and their porter. good food at a decent price. the beers are mostly some of the more common macrobrews from around but there are a few english ale. it is about the atmosphere.

66 This is a pub straight out of the Shire from Lord of the Rings- carved wooden sign, covered in vines, small and quaint, and FILLED with happy locals. Fantastic vibe! Not the best selection, but worth a stop just to sit and chill. Didn’t get to try the food. |
64 Beautiful little pub in a beautiful little town. Good selection of local beers in comparison to most other South Shore bars, but nothing that’s going to blow your mind. Staff are good, but service can get slow sometimes. Good food, I love the burgers, and it’s decent value for money. I grew up not far from here, and used to go in when I was a kid for lunch with my parents. more than 15 years later it’s still the place to be if you’re in Lunenburg. |
58 Impossibly inviting from the outside. Cozy and quintessentially pub-like on the inside. Friendly. Ate before coming so missed out on the astonishingly well-priced local pub grub. The house beer Knot’s Pub Ale is a blend of Propeller Honey Wheat and the Porter and is quite a disaster. Other than that it’s a great pit stop in this lovely Nova Scotia town. |
68 Cool looking pub from the exterior and even better inside. You could easily walk passed this pub and not know its there. It reminded me of a little hobbit hole and was expecting to see hobbits drinking beer inside. This pub had plenty of character and the staff were friendly. The beer selection is nothing to get excited about. You could probably knock off the majority of beers from N.S. here but that’s all. The food was good pub grub. I enjoyed it and would visit again. The Propeller ESB was in excellent condition. |
58 Menu selection is all that missing here. Good time, every time! |
66 Visited in the Fall a while back on a mini-trip to Lunenburg, it’s comfortably nestled just along the road from the main strip in town. This small and quaint wooden pub has cosy booths and low lighting and a TV over the bar for that local welcoming feeling, helped by good service. Burger pub food and tasty cheesesticks sated our appetites. Beer selection included solid locally available stuff (Propellor), which perfectly suited the place. An interesting stop. |
