| Spab (34), Toronto, Ontario | | August 20, 2011 Nice-looking bottle shop with good selection of Quebec micros from a wide variety of brewers (and a very small number of international crap). Service was friendly and fairly knowledgeable although it would help if I spoke French at a decent level. Not too far off the highway so good if you’re heading through. I’ll be there every time I head out to the east coast. | | JulienHuxley (64), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec | | January 23, 2010 Very neat and tidy bottle shop, you will find almost all the quebec micro beer you want here. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the price is right. The only slight downside is that they are such a well known ressource that they can’t keep limited edition beers for very long before they sell out. For anyone wanting to fill up on QC beers though, this is definately one of the better places. | Fred82 (7), Montreal, Quebec does not count - explanation | | March 26, 2009 Small store with a really nice appearance. Selection is good but not the best I’ve seen. Service was really good. The clerk accompanied us throughout the time we were there and suggested some really nice beers. It was nice to have some extra info about some beers, especially the Bieropholie beers about which he seemed to be well informed cause, from what he says, he personally knows the brewer. Their website is nice and you can get some info about the new stuff they receive. Very nice place overall. I will surely get back there once in a while when I’m in Trois-Rivière. | Roncorps (1), , Quebec does not count - explanation | | December 21, 2008 [ Updated January 16, 2009 ] Good selection with knowledgeable staff. The place is centered on Quebec brewery and thats why they got good points on the selection. Quebec law regulate too much beer importation so, the store do what it can do best and so that is to sell local beer and he does it well. | | Sammy (408), Toronto, Ontario | | May 14, 2008 Georgeous place, with a patient and knowledgeable owner, this place would be a standout anywhere. And its in a town. A lot of the best and latest Quebec micros, almost everything of what’s available. My only real complaint: some of the latest and greatest is listed on the site but was not available here, nor in the backup store I was sent to down the street. | | Glouglouburp (259), Montreal, Quebec | | January 7, 2008 Selection is just as good as it gets in quebec. This is one of the handful of quebec stores (about a dozen or so) that carries all the quebec micros. Even gets some exclusive batch once in a while. I actually like the set-up. Far from a warm welcoming store in an old home with plenty of wood, the Barik is the typical cold mini-market layout but it does the job. You can feel that the place is being maintained with love and passion. The service is better than anywhere else in the province. This is a beer store ran by a beer enthusiast. Some beers related goodies and local snacks/chocolate. Too bad I live in Montreal because this is my favourite beer store in the province. | | MartinT (469), Montreal, Quebec | | October 1, 2007 [ Updated June 1, 2009 ] This is a very good and nicely decorated beer store in Trois-Rivières, north of highway 40. They have all you need in Quebec micros, and sometimes a few special beers only available here. The owner is passionate and it shows in the store layout. This is a perfect stop to stock up after a Trou du Diable visit. A quick pint or two at the Gambrinus brewpub down the road is recommended as well. | | Rastacouere (581), Montréal, Quebec | | May 29, 2007 A friendly, small beer store that tried to carry all it can and even more with various asociation with brewers for one-offs. Not necessarily focused on offering the most welcoming interior, but the people working here do seem happy and most friendly. |
