Hard to find, parking can be tough (But parking for ALL of conventry sucks and requires a walk). In the basement and dark dark dark, kinda cool, great place to take a date when you want some alone time with an excellent selection of bottles. Tap list is usually ok.

The atmosphere is great...if you don’t count the ornery bearded bartender who will cuss you out if you dare to complain about the ridiculously slow service. I’ve been here a few times and never had any complaints. This last time, however (and when I say last, I mean last, because I will never step foot in there again), my friend and I were verbally attacked by our server. Basically what happened was that we ordered a cheese board and it took forever to come out. When it did, my friend made a joke about how long it took. Instead of apologizing or explaining or doing something that any normal decent human being who doesn’t hate the world would do, he started arguing with us. I’m telling you, it was ridiculous. Never in my life have I experienced that. The situation got so out of hand that we eventually got up to leave. When we did, our anti-social server who was clearly off his meds loudly said, "Í don’t give a f**k, I don’t give a f**k, I don’t give a f**k!" And then tauntingly said something about how we think we’re soooooo cool and we’re too good for this place. We walked out reeling. We couldn’t believe that had just happened!! So, long story short...yes, la cave du vin is in a good spot, the atmosphere is cool, but seriously the service is so ridiculously bad that it cancels all the good stuff out. Even withuot getting yelled at and insulted by the bearded pscyho, we weren’t happy with the slow and unfriendly service in general. I say go anywhere else in Conventry and you’ll have a better time.

Great little spot conveniently located under the Grog Shop, where I go for shows at least once a year. The bottle selection is solid - anyone could find something that they really love here. Prices are reasonable for a bar. The draft list is sparse but nice. Certainly a great place to pop in for a few drinks before a show.

Parking isn’t convenient. The building this place is in makes it look like a dive bar. You walk down stairs and it makes it feel more like a dive. You walk in and the bottle selection isn’t great. The tap selection is good but not the greatest. I didn’t care for the little table/shelf that had bottled beers on it that wasn’t for sale. When I was looking at them the bartender/clerk came over and told me those are not for sale as if I should have already have known? I don’t really get why this place is hyped up. I have been all over Cleveland and many other states and this place wasn’t a treat.

tight dungeon basement ambiance. dark. nice tap list. wish it was in a more convenient location. dont typically make treks out to the east side.

I wish I could give a higher score for this place. La Cave is superb. This is easily the best bar is the state.

This place has street parking only. Be prepared to park several blocks away. When you walk in, you need to walk down a set of stairs and then through a door. The ambiance is fairly cool. The lights are dimmed and there is lighting provided mostly by candlelight. Take a flashlight. The beer cooler has several harder to find beers, and some others that aren’t quite so hard. There are some vintage bottles setting to the side on a couple stands. Be careful what you grab from these vintage bottles. Not all of them are actually for sale and if there is a price tag on them, they are likely outdated. The price will be given to you when you go to check out. I found this system rather odd, and after being given a price much higher than the marked one with no chance of haggling, I left empty handed.

Great atmospehere, decent size bar with many smaller tables surrounding. Crowd was mostly younger, but a fair amount of "mature" people there Selection was excellent. Have a cooler with what appeared to be close to 300 different bottles. Several beers on tap, but I mostly stuck with bottles. Everything was poured into the proper glassware, very impressive. Not a food place really, did offer snack foods, cheese plate, brie, etc. Better go elsewhere if you are looking for a meal. Deffiantly worth a visit. Top 3 Beer Bar in Cleveland.

Cool place in a fairly trendy area. Could be a bit hard to find, located through a small door and down a flight of steps. Dark interior with dim lighting make the place feel cozy. Decent selection of beer, but the few times I’ve been here there hasn’t been anything too special. Waitstaff is helpful and fairly knowledgeable. Good place, but a bit out of the way... worth a stop for sure.

Great little spot hidden away off Euclid Heights Blvd in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. They always have good beer on draft, even though the tap handles are somewhat limited. Good selection of beer in the coolers as well. Worth seeking out if you are in the area.
