Visited 28th January 2016, loved the Kriek and Lambic there. The atmosphere is cosy and friendly, lots of locals, happy to speak to you. Bar man also friendly and interested in the beer. Liked this place, the beer was limited, but what they have is enough to get me back there.

Called here for the Girardin kriekenlambic. Very busy, cosy, and atmospheric. The servers were non stop, and very efficient. Nearly everyone, bar us, was eating. Food looked ok, and was certainly popular. Not a large range of beer, but that didn’t bother me. Would visit again, definitely.

Lovely old Brown Cafe type bar in central Brussels with an eccentric history, being popular with Nuns and artists. The outside is strange but when you enter via a curtain and get used to the light you see the charming interior with all its history displayed on the walls. A handy place for a snack and a beer, although the beer list is smaller than many. The language in here appears to be Flemish Dutch rather than the normal Brussels French. Definitely worth a look.

Stopped in for lunch during a layover. This place just exudes character. The beer selection is decent. I had the Flemish Beef Stew for lunch, which was fantastic. The service was friendly and attentive. This might not be a place to find hard to get beers, but it is well worth a visit.

Bags of character, multiroomed pub with nic esuntrap terrace out the back. never busy but always buzzing, helpful staff, visited three times in a week. final visit we were allowed in just before doors closed as we knew what we were having. The sublime girardin kriekenlambic of course!

Fleur en Papier Dorée, apparently Magritte used to drink here and half the bar/restaurant oozes character and is old school with art & brick-a-brac coating all the walls, irregular floors & tables very atmospheric. The back extension is bright generic dinner, boring. Also if you ask what beers they have on tap no mention will be made of their Geuze or lambics! They’re bag in a box fresh so not considered to be on tap. Ask what geuze/lambics they have. Great place.

OK, so apparently this bar was home to the Belgian surrealists, a sort of Montmartre style café in Brussels. The interior is quite cool, definitely has an old school artsy cafe vibe to it, even though I was there when it was chuck full it wasn’t too noisy. I didn’t try the food but it looked pretty standard. The beer list was short with mostly classics and I was going to trash this place until lo and behold, I saw they had Girardin kriekenlamibc and Oud Beersel lambic on there for a really good price. Prices are good for center standards, and it is a stone’s throw from Moeder Lambic Fontainas. If you have a minute, it’s worth grabbing a beer at.

The thing with this place is that it is an okay place with some truly impressive bars within very short walking distance from it. Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas is 5 min. walking disntance from here. Right next door there is a way cooler & better bar (Porte Noir). This place is focused a bit on food (there didn’t appear to be any vegan options on first glance) & it seemed to be the standard dull Belgian fare + Nüetnigenough is less than a 10 min. from here. Prices are averages, beers selection is okay but average. You can get Oud Beersel lambiek on draft but you can also just walk to Cantillon or Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas.

Visited quickly here on a sunday . List is average to even less . I could not immidiatly find any craft beer accept for zinnebir . Which is great, but if that is the only decent beer they have, why go here ? all the others seemed to be inbev-inspired , with some additionnal brews . Service sure was friendly .Prices were OK

un ancien bar avec une sélection de bière classique belge toutefois l’endroit faut largement le gout d’oeil
