The wife cruised thru on a business trip to grab me some brews. Her review: Nice clean bar, friendly staff helped me grab a mixed 6 pack and get back on the road quickly. The place smelled great I wish I would have had time for lunch. Would definitely make a point to try if in the area again.

sept.30th 2011. Lunch on a Friday. Quiet at the time. Waiter did not seem to know how to recommend beers... More selection would be nice. Other than that, the beers are well made and the food was excellent. would definitely return. try the IPA!

Great place decided to get a few beers before the ironman. I like that they had a sampler; unstaffed just one guy working really hard.

Stopped here after hiking Mt Marcy. After that long hike I deserved a brew. Place is a college bar but food was decent and had an UBU Ale so indeed a decent time was had.

Subpar college like place. I aske for their wheat beer , got bottle and bo glass. And this is their brewpub ? They dont even respect their own beer.... Staff had litlle knowledge. Average beer quality.

Warm roaring fire inside. Nothing too special as far as decor/ambiance goes. Wood floors, tables and bar. However, acceptable dine in your snow/ski gear. ~1pm on a Sunday, crowded but seated right away. Very friendly, quick service. 6 beers on tap (all theirs). Order the sampler ( $6.75). Surprised there was no stout/porter on tap considering the cold/winter season. The Winter Lager (6.5%) was solid. Nothing too inspiring our notable from the other 5 beers on tap. Decent lunch selection menu and fair prices. Overlooking mirror lake just a few steps off the main street near the speed skating ice rink. Absolutely worth visiting if your in the area.

Located just a short walk from the main drag in Lake Placid and is situated in an old church, sort of reminds me of a ski lodge. There is an Irish Pub on the main floor but did not check it out. I went upstairs to the main attraction. It has a nice patio that overlooks Mirror Lake. They have 6 beers on tap, 4 standards & 2 seasonal. Bartender seemed to know the brews quite well. The food is standard pub grub and the service is pleasant and friendly. Atmosphere is laid back and relaxing. Nice place to get away from the tourists or skiers depending on the season.

Great place with outstanding view of Mirror Lake. Went twice on vacation-once during Iron Man. The second a few days later. Seated quickly both times. Good food both times. Decent beer. Poor service both times-particularly the second. Sat with an empty beer for about 10 minutes before the waitress came with our check.

Nice place in a lovely area. We went here for lunch and sat outside on the upstairs deck with a great view of the lake and surrounding scenery. Beers were not very memorable. Food was suitable.

Outstanding atmosphere, college pennants from across the country cover the walls (including one from my alma mater, bonus points). Small rounded bar area with a lot of tables. Staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable. Selection is good, lots of styles on tap - sampler is a great way to try them all. Value is pretty reasonable. Overall, it’s a great little gem in the Lake Placid area, and the Ubu is outstanding!
