| esjaygee (204), Oak Creek, Wisconsin | | May 21, 2012 A really great beer tour, well worth money. You get four samples of beer plus a coupon for a full pour afterwards at several local establishments. If you go on Friday, you can take a tour and stay for a fish fry. | biergeniesser (5), Wisconsin does not count - explanation | | May 8, 2012 Great beer tour - probably the most fun in all of Milwaukee. Yes, you have to pay, but it’s worth it! | | elkhunter36 (10), Wisconsin | | April 25, 2012 Cannot reccomend this highly enough! Best beer tour in town. Fish Fry and a Polka Band on Friday night. | | dionysus (10), Arizona | | March 26, 2012 Highly recommended, even if you’ve been on previous brewery tours. Tour guide Josh was extremely entertaining, informative, and interactive. The brewery itself has a lot of unused space as you first enter, I can only imagine that they use the large area for events. Price of the tour is reasonable and includes 4 6oz pours and a pint glass when it’s all said and done. Several tap options for 1 token, or 12oz bottles for 2. The bombers from the 88 series are also available to purchase: $7 if you plan on drinking there, or $5 if you want to take it home. The entire staff is extremely laid back and friendly. I even managed to score some Dan thanks to a lovely employee (a small quantity had been squirreled away.) If you find yourself in the Milwaukee area, you should definitely pop on in. | | finderman222 (10), , | | March 5, 2012 Great place! Loved the big open atmosphere | | coharahawk (30), Milwaukee, Wisconsin | | January 27, 2012 The Lakefront Tour has become an Milwaukee institution and a "must-do" if you’re visiting or move to Milwaukee. The tour guides are generally knowledgeable and are trained to make the tour fun and slightly rowdy. The Friday night tour is especially rowdy (be prepared for a bunch of college kids that pre-gamed before hand). The beers are pretty good, nothing will blow you out of the water though. The Fish Fry and polka band on Friday’s is fun as well. It’s definitely a fun tourist attraction. Not that I promote Miller in any way, but it’s sorta interesting to go on the free Miller tour and see the sheer magnitude vs the small scale craft brewery. I think the tour guides at Lakefront state that Miller pours out more beer in a day than Lakefront brews in a year. | cblado (4), Washington does not count - explanation | | January 24, 2012 Visited today with MeisterBrauMHB. I’d wanted to do the tour for a long time. It’s a very simple tour, but the guide spiced it up quite a bit by 1) serving us beer before, during, and after the tour, and 2) being the co-founder and brother of the current owner. He was very personable, a real Milwaukee character. The facilities are simple, but the interior of the building has a really cool German beer hall feel to it. The beer itself was great too. I’ve been a fan of their products, particularly their Riverwest Stein Beer, for quite a while. Also, for the value, it’s awesome. For $7 you get the tour, 4 six-ounce tasters of beer, a Lakefront Brewery pint glass, a discount on merchandise, and a coupon for a free Lakefront product at one of several bars in the area. That bears repeating but I’m running out of room. Basically, just go and do the tour. | Mzalenski (4), Wisconsin does not count - explanation | | January 22, 2012 One of my favorite breweries. The tours are enjoyable and a good value. All of their beers are absolutely drinkable. You aren’t going to find anything over the top, but there is something for everyone. | | savnac (155), Anchorage, Alaska | | December 6, 2011 Big warehouse style brewery with a few bar areas thoughout. This place is all about the tour. I’ve been on boring brewery tours before but I’ve got to say this one is a lot of fun. Our tour guide was hilarious and you could tell he really enjoyed what he did. You get a lot of beer and a glass for the admission price and it’s a great deal if you ask me. All the beer seemed solid with some being excellent. This place is a blast. | | arkurzynski (58), West Bend, Wisconsin | | November 1, 2011 Old, almost mill on the river feel. One of the best tours in the area with the right guide. Never have been a fan of their beers, however. Would recommend for the experience alone. |
