My sixth time to Brussels, but my first visit to here: it not opening at weekends being the main reason. So it was a cold and windy Thursday evening in October 2010 I finally made it. Nothing special about it to be honest, a basic bar with a few clown bits hanging around and on the windows. The place was half empty and we had no problems finding a table with two chairs to sit on. On tap they had Bink Blond, La Chouffe Houblin and Chimay Tripel as their regular beers. The two guests being Nieuwhuys Alpaide and Saison de Cazeau, we tried them all (sharing) before having a 0.75cl bottle of Lupulus. We ate a mixed cheese and cold meat platter with gurkins etc, just what we wanted to accompany the beers. An agreeable sort of place and one I’d use again if in that area of the city. It is a fair walk from any other reconised beery bar in Brussels, but is just about worth the effort to get out too.

I was a little disappointed after reading the reviews of this place. Their bottle selection is good but also quite expensive. If you only have a few days in Brussels then you don’t have to go to "Le Bier Circus”

I visited Le Bier Circus to find some additional Belgian beers I could not find at other bars or beer shops in Brussels. I went for drinks only. The atmosphere was very good, but not necessarily memorable. The beer selection on the other hand, absolutely was. I had been looking for a month for De Dolle Bos Keun or Special Export Stout, and at the time of my visit they had both! A reasonable value for the beers, and a fairly accessible location. If you’re in Brussels, this restaurant would be a good choice to spend a few hours with a great beer selection.

Interesting hours. Didn’t get here the first time I went to Belgium, but I got there the second time. Went for drinks only. Great beer selection. Only okay service - the bartender had such bad body odor that it actually hurt the beer drinking experience a little bit. Nice selection though.

While barely a 10-minute walk from Brussels very center, this beer bar seems to be the most neglected among Brussels’ top. Undoubtedly, the owner’s very discreet nature does not help to spread the gospel. Then again, it may allow the visitors to benefit from a nicer selection, one that includes quite a few interesting vintages and an impressive range of bottles from smaller wallonian breweries. Girardin Oude Lambik was also available on tap. The prices were good for Brussels. While limited, the food menu was most satisfying for the casual visitor, my cheesy meatloaf being possibly the best I’ve ever eaten and my girlfriend’s Chimay sauce was delicious above her pasta. Large servings. We went there for lunch, so it’s tough to assess the atmosphere. The pub does not have the coziness of many, being a bit more modern and restaurant-like. Nevertheless, I would place it very close to the two Moeder right behind the Delirium in terms of beer selection in the capital.

It’s one of the best bar - not restaurant - of Brussels. Bottle selection is fantastic

I love the columns decorated with beer caps ! Moreover, food is very good, I drank fot example vintage Achelse Kluis or Dupont Bons Voeux... The owner is very friendly. Nice place to eat and drink in Brussels.
