Cool small place with 12 strong taps and numerous cans/bottles. Good service. Pizza is the main fare, but caprese and charcuterie appear on the menu.

Not too far from Village Idiot. This place has bottles to-go, and even brewing supplies. They have glassware available, and a decent draught selection. I thought the draught selection could’ve had some better local representation. However, even with the lack of local stuff, the draught selection seemed calculated and well thought out. There’s food available, too, but it’s mainly pizza, and a couple of appetizers. We had the beer cheese and pretels, which was good. The service was good. Overall, there’s nothing wrong with this place, but there was just something about this place that didn’t seem inviting enough to make me want to stay.

Went back to try the food finally, so time for a re-rate. Overview: LBW is a nice space; very clean and well thought out. Probably the place in town that would most appeal to the white collar crowd; kinda reminds me of a business man’s after-work bar. There’s a limited amount of home-brew equipment in the back, and some taller tables for parties of four or more. Out back is a double-decker deck. Yet, this place has always been pretty dead and lifeless feeling in my limited experience. Service was prompt enough, but didn’t really seem interested in engaging customers besides filling new drinks and kitchen orders. My friend commented that there’s quite a bit of turnaround here. I do feel like the selection here is fairly solid, but nothing you couldn’t get elsewhere in town; comparable to Mellow Mushroom I’d say. Food is primarily pizza, though they did have a charcuterie plate; pizza was respectable and made for a good lunch (had the Margherita); thin, crackery crust with generous toppings. Prices are still pretty good (taps top out at about 6ish bucks), but the option to have a smaller, cheaper measure (a half pint, etc.) was not available. PROS: Solid selection; good pizzas; good prices. CONS: Lifeless feel; lukewarm service; lack of different measures for beer pours. OVERALL: I feel like this place has gone downhill, even with the new food menu. If I were in town, and wanted food and beer under the same roof, I’d go to Pazzo’s, Mellow Mushroom, and West Sixth (with the affixed Smithtown Seafood) before stopping here. With the lack of people stopping by, I don’t think my sentiments are unique.

A cozy brewpub without the brewery. Attentive service. Only about 10 taps but a fairly large bottle selection.

Located downtown, street parking only. Big long bar located on the right side, tables in the back. Dark woods, stately looking. Nice vibe. I was a little disappointed with the tap selection, but they had no locals on tap other than Lexington Alltech which is on tap everywhere. Nice bottle selection, but the one I tried to order was sold out. Bartender was friendly. Prices seemed pretty solid. The back of the store does NOT seem to have homebrew stuff anymore. It’s all tables now. Some brewing buckets are still on the right side but those looked like they were more for decor than anything.

I love this place. Always a great selection of beers on tap to go along with a great selection of bottled craft beers. The selections on tap change on an almost daily basis so there is always something new to try. They also have a great supply of home brewing equipment and ingredients. The introduction to homebrewing class is a must if you are just starting to brew.

i tend to go here more for my hb supplies but i do occasionally stop in for a pint and some bottles to go. Service is usually pretty good and prices are definitely affordable. overall a good place to stop into if you are in town. If you homebrew, they carry all kinds of good hops and yeasts. *Revised score due to lack of knowledgeable staff since some of the main hb guys that worked there left for greener pastures. if they had more competent staff instead of "look at me" girls it could be so much better.

Been several times and it’s a nice place. I keep track of what they’re offering on tap via FB or Twitter. Usually have a diverse selection of beers available on tap with a decent bottle selection as well. A nice change of pace from Beer Trappe.

Stopped by early evening for a beer, place was dead. Nice bar area up front with a homebrew shop in the back. Service was great, good beer recommendation and things to do in town. Selection was pretty good, diverse tap list and a bit bottle menu. Price were really good on draft beer, bottles were ok. Nice place to hang out and have a beer.

Downtown beer bar with excellent selection. 12 taps often featuring local beers from Kentucky in addition to other beers distributed. Small homebrew shop as well Food trucks sometimes park outside on weekends and you can order from food from Columbia’s next door.
