| AgentSteve (77), SF Bay Area, California | | December 22, 2011 You are sure to find beers you have never seen on tap in your life when you step into the Saloon. With the doubling of taps since the Grand opening in July, The LV is working hard at creating a haven for beer geeks. Yeah, sometimes they don’t follow set hours, and every once in a while you’ll have a beer that is nearing the end of its life span on tap, but I will take those negatives for all of the positives that they offer. I gave this bar a 15/15 for selection, because you simply won’t see most of their beers on tap. | | fidel (67), Livermore, California | | November 25, 2011 Dark dive bar atmosphere, and a long bar. Great selection, and the staff is learning a lot about the new 20+ taps. | | joeneugs (55), Livermore, California | | September 5, 2011 As a Livermore resident, I want to say thank you for opening a great craft beer bar in my hometown! This place is owned and ran by Harpreet and family of the famous Perry’s Liquors down the street. Between these two places, you have all you can handle when it comes to great beer. The location is superb being in the heart of a revitalized Livermore downtown. Lots of restaurants nearby and some entertainment. The bar itself needs some work. It used to be pretty much a dive bar with pool tables, a juke box, BMC signs everywhere and ugly color schemes. They’ve already removed the BMC signs and pool tables to be replaced with more seating. I really hope they update the interior, but we’ll see. I especially hate the giant mirror above the bar. Anyway, the beer selection is really good. They have about 25 taps with some local stuff and Belgians. Considering their connections with distributors from the bottle shop, I imagine they will always have access to some great beers. The service has been steadily improving since they opened about a month ago. I love, love, love that they do sample sizes of everything on tap. A tickers dream come true. Prices are about average for the area. If you happen to find yourself in Livermore, make sure you stop in. | KrausenJockey (4), Stockton, California does not count - explanation | | July 28, 2011 Well this is a great addition to the Livermore scene. An amazing array of beers to chose from and friendly attentive staff. Thanks guys!!! |
