We came here on 21.12.2019. Our very first brewery in Vermont (stop #6) !!! Located very close to the Killington ski area. Nice U-shaped bar surrounding a unique tapping kettle. 12 beers on tap (6 regulars and 6 specials) and 3 in cans. We had a very good Alt beer and the Green Blaze IPA and sampled the Sticke. All beers were excellent. Great merchandising, focusing on the hiking and cycling theme, in the shop next to the bar. Very friendly service. Shame we were in a rush as we had to reach Hill Farmstead on time.

Long Trail Brewing operates a large facility where one can enjoy a self-guided brewery tour or enjoy a nice meal indoors, or relax on the patio overlooking the river/creek/stream running behind the brewery. We opted for the patio and enjoyed several brewery only beers. There is plenty of brewery swag available to-go along with beers, including a sneak peek at their upcoming winter seasonal, "Sick Day" IPA. The food was quite tasty and featured local ingredients well prepared by the kitchen. The service was very good and remained attentive.

If you get good weather this place is the bees knees. Indoor and outdoor seating, with a lower level down by the river where you can sit on benches and drink and relax. Very nice. About ten taps total; half being the year round selections and half being one offs and seasonals. If you live in the northeast, Long Trail sees pretty wide distribution, so you won’t get many ticks, but damn it this isn’t a damn fine place to drink a beer in the late spring/early summer. And probably the fall too.

I enjoyed my visit to the brewery. It has a decent tasting room but small gift shop. All of their active bottled beers are available on tap along with 2-3 special brews. At least one of those brews was only available at the brewery and that was the Hefe I drank. You can take a self-guided tour of the brewery by walking across scaffolding that overlooks the entire process. Open seven days. I also picked up a nice tulip glass. If you are a brewery fan this is worth the stop.

Great selection of Long Trail beers (obviously) all the regulars plus their Brewmaster series which I seldom get a chance to see. Kind of touristy but there’s seating outside by a stream to drink some beer in the shade and have some bar food - dogs, burgers, buffalo chicken, salads... We stopped on a 75 degree, dry, sunny day when outside eating was great. Worth the stop

Only getting a four for ambiance because the have a moose on the wall and excellent tap set up. There was not a large variety of beers but the bar tender was good fun. Defiantly worth the visit. They were doing work in the brewery so the self tour was out of commission so I will be back to this place.

Long Trail brewing almost seems very touristy on first looks. The place was packed on a saturday afternoon with a stiff wait to go with it. Eating wasn’t happening, so I’ll more comment on the beer and service. The selection was very good when it came to their own beers. They offered up plenty of their year round beers to drink+buy along with being able to get some of their more special releases very easily too. The service was great and fast. Everyone was extremely nice there and very friendly. The only real downside was the lack of a real brewery tour. It’s just a open walk around which is nice, but it would’ve been better to have someone give us more info than just walking around.

Had lunch at Long Trail recently. I’ve always found LT’s beers to be decent. I had a Pale Ale and tried the Double Bag for the firstt time. It was good. Fun atmosphere with bench seating and a fireplace. There is a small self guided brew tour which was interesting. I went in the winter and am guessing this is a better place to go in the summer. There is an outside seating area overlooking a river. Seems like it would be nice to sit out there on a warm summer day.

I’ve never had a bad time at Long Trail Brewery and the win here is that I always get to leave with fresh beer to take home. We went recently on New Years Day and it was packed with tourists, locals and skiers who just left Killington. The tap was full of year-round and seasonal beers. I always get the latest Brewmaster Series beer to start followed by the seasonal offering and then finishing things off with the Blackberry Wheat. The wait staff was awesome and our waiter chatted with me about cellaring beer right after I asked if they had any Imperial Porter left from last quarter because I have a few bottles aging in my basement. He sat down and spent some time with us and talked me into buying two packs of Triple Bag. Long Trail is a fine brewery with a non-pretentious atmosphere and friendly employees. I wish they had an official brewery tour but it’s not a huge deal.
