78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 Anvil99 (11) , | May 1, 2013 Brewpub with very tasty beers with good prices! The Hop Man-IPA is a favourite! | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 Kristophe (61) , Sweden | April 10, 2013 Malmös very own brewpub. Good selection of their own beers (which nowadays are DELICIOUS since the new brewmaster begun brewing there) and usually one or two guest taps. Very cool and old premises. A definite visit if you’re in Malmö. | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 Brugmansia (256) Jylland, Denmark | February 22, 2013 Cosy brewpub, with connection to the chocolate factory :-).. Lovely deco, rather spacy, even though it looks a bit narrow, when entering. Friendly staff, and the beers are normally in good condition, mainly from their own brewery. In 2012 they did a small, very nice, beerfestival, with other swedish micros..
For sure worth a visit :-) | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 martinen (39) Malmö, Sweden | February 13, 2013 It’s nice to have a brewpub like this one just around the corner from where I live. The selection is more or less limited to their brews, but you only find quality beer here. The premises are great! | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 gyllenbock (105) Stockholm, Sweden | December 9, 2012 Visited for the first time in December 2012.
I liked this place, the service was very friendly with a great service. Descent selection of their own beers plus some guest taps. The brewpub is located in a old house from the 1800s. (there was a brewery in the same building between 1889-1912)
The location is central, Malmö is not that large so everything is within walking distance. Well worth a visit. Good prices compared to Stockohlm. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 12/20 jmgreenuk (89) The Hague, Netherlands | November 12, 2012 A short walk from the town centre, but worth the trek. A decent selection of their own home brewed ales and the occasional guest. The quality of their own beers has been mixed it must be said. It’s a nice enough place to hang out, especially upstairs from where you can look down on the brewery. Their wi fi router is on the third floor, so reception was impossible really. They need to do something about that for foreign guests who are not going to pay extortionate 3G roaming charges. I didn’t eat here, but the food that others were eating looked tasty. The staff here have always been super friendly and helpful. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 hackobock (3) , Sweden | July 30, 2012 The area is very nice, the old brick building with the brewery (copper boilers) in the middle which can be overlooked from the balcony. Was not as impressed by the beer though, sadly. Maybe had too high expectations... | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 Cunningham (246) Halden, Norway | July 20, 2012 Nice brew pub outside the worst tourist area :-) Lovely beer and friendly staff. Also ok food. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Skakapa (17) Malmö, Sweden | March 30, 2012 The pub is small and cosy with its brewery in the centre. More seating two stairs up through an almost hidden door. Friendly staff and decent prices, selection somewhat limited to 6 own taps (2 seasonal) plus 2 guests. The food menu varies with every month. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 Boudicca (370) London, England | July 15, 2011 Malmo Brygghus was started last year, producing chocolate and bread as well as beer. It’s housed in an interesting building – an old chocolate factory and, once you know this, you can practically smell the chocolate oozing from the bricks. In keeping with the chocolate theme, one of the regular draft beers is a tasty Cocoa Porter. There are a few other house brews, which I think included a summer ale, and one or two guest beers.
There are a high stools around tables constructed from old barrels in the bar downstairs but the main seating area, with heavy iron tables and chairs, is upstairs in a gallery overlooking the gleaming copper brewing kit, which came from Horsens in Denmark. On the next level up there’s a restaurant although burgers are also served in the bar and the gallery. Anders had one before heading off to work and it looked very good.
Overall, the Brygghus is a comfortable as well as stylish place and the service was very friendly.
