This brewpub is located in a building that reminds me of a chain restaurant, multiple dining rooms with a central bar. The service is quick, attentive and very friendly - even the servers not assigned to your table. The deep dish pizza was pretty good but did have a doughy spot or two. There were about house beers available, and these were average to slightly above average. The prices are very reasonable. This was a nice oasis in an otherwise beer poor region.

Stopped for lunch on a Sunday on the way to seven springs resort. Place looks a lot like a rock bottom or applebees. They had the typical 6 beers across the color spectrum plus a lot of bmc. Nothing stood out and the food was mediocre. This place is definitely not worth making a special trip for.

Stopped in here on day two of our drive out to Michigan for RBSG. Got in probably around 11:30AM on a Monday and there actually were a few folks already there in the very large and very roomy establishment. Started off with a sampler and some damned fine fried zucchini while waiting for our pizza to come out. The pizza was decent, but then again, as close as I am to NYC, my pizza expectations may be unrealistically high. Regardless, we had a good meal with some tasty beers. For some reason when I first walked in I felt like I had walked into Chotchkies from Office Space, though there wasn’t that much weird crap on the walls or any of that. Don’t even think the greeter had a mustache and vest covered in buttons. Weird. Another place I’d be glad to have nearby and wouldn’t mind visiting again. Friendly and quick service, good prices, good beer.

Just looking around in this place, it’s the last place I’d expect to find good beer. The ambiance/decor is kitschy, with that family chain restaurant feel. The pizza was ok, but way oversalted (pesto is salty enough as it is, but they overdid it) and way too cheesy. Very spacious, though we (myself, puzzl, maxdaddy and joemcphee) were one of the few groups there. That being said, the most important thing, the beer, is something Marzoni’s gets right. Nice, diverse selection with few misses and all of them paired decently with the food. Grabbed a growler of the stout for RBSG.

Normal brewpub ambiance. Service was fine. Selection was average. Only had soup, but it was good.

Shopping plaza exterior hides the spacious wood, brick, and yellow paint interior. Large place with a large family vibe and large rectangular bar that has 6+ TVs and 30+ seats. Mixed menu that resembles a wholesome chain, save for the pizzas, which are ok. Good food prices, fast service. 6x/8x 6oz sampler for $8/10. I stopped in around 2PM, which lent it a relaxing, somewhat-empty environment. I’d imagine 5:30PM is a little different.

Fourth stop on the super ultimate OSU vs. Penn State slash beer adventure weekend. Showed up right at 11 a.m. and were the only people in the place. Nice looking place and the staff was friendly and attentive. Not the best place we visited this weekend (Beer Engine has that title hands down), but definitely the most surprising in terms of beer. Their stout, IPA and APA selections on this day were very good, their light beer was the best I’ve ever had and their amber, wheat and saison were all decent. Pizza was tasty, with a choice of spent grain whole wheat crust (something every brewpub/pizzeria should offer). Crust was a bit overdone on the bottom, but what did I expect from brick oven? Would definitely come back if I by some bizarre happenstance find myself in this part of the state again.

This place had a large, open atmosphere that was decently decorated. They had 8 beers on tap of decent quality and reasonable price. The food was good with nice portions and a reasonable price. The service was typical and the staff somewhat knowledgeable about the beers they served. Nothing really stood out or inpired me but the experience was decent.

Marzoni’s is a big Italian restaurant in a huge parking lot. The atmosphere is nice- well lit, very open, lots of windows, very clean, and clear view of the brewing operation. The bar is a large square in the middle of the floor. The bartender was exceptionally nice. When I asked some questions about the beer, she admitted she didn’t know much about beer and ended up fetching the brewmaster, with whom I had a brief chat. He’s also quite nice. Beers ranged from not-so-good to very good (the IPA is tasty). I really enjoyed my experience here. I’ll probably go back next time I’m in the area.
