Visited Maui, and this place for lunch back when it was called Fish & Game. 7-10 beers on tap and a different one on special depending on the day of the week. Unfortunately I only had time to sample one, Maui Pale Ale, which was quite good. The food was good as well. Maybe a tad expensive but everything is in Maui. Located in a small strip mall it wasn’t busy at all when we went. I really liked this place but I can’t think of much I didn’t like in all of Maui.

Visited on a Wednesday night for dinner. The place wasn’t too crowded, but it was a little busy. They had seven beers on tap, plus three that they sold in cans. Their beer sampler included six beers for $8. Suprisingly, they had a terrific Abbey Ale and an outstanding Penguin Imperial Stout. The only beer I really didn’t like was their Big Swell IPA on nitro (I’ve had it from a can prior and did like it, but the nitro was no good IMO). Service was a little slow, but I think they only had two waitstaff working. The food was good, but this was this was the most expensive brewpub I’ve ever been to, which I guess is expected for Maui. Definitely worth checking out if in Maui, but be sure to bring plenty of money with you.

Visited the Maui Brewery north of Lahaina (stopped at the warehouse facility first, which wasn’t right, then drove further north to the brewery/restaurant). Overall, I wasn’t very impressed, to be honest. I sampled everything. Some beers weren’t very good some were OK. And I was surprised to hear the IPA wasn’t on draft (only available in the can). A cool brewpub with laid-back ambience and tasty beers (using a lot of native fruits, plants, etc. creatively) would be so cool on Hawaii. I just didn’t get that feeling there ... felt more like a carpeted cafeteria, and it smelled like dishrag. Don’t mean to be harsh that’s just the honest truth. The bartender was nice and some of the beers were all right, but the atmosphere just didn’t do it for me. It was dark, dreary and kind of smelly. Not what I expected at all.

I was really looking forward to coming here. Thought I would beat the crowd and go there at 11am on a Sunday. Waiter tells me they are turning over their service (from Breakfast to Lunch) and they can’t serve any food for 20 min. That’s fine, give me some beer and I’ll wait. Food ended up taking over an hour. Looks like there were 2 waiters for the entire restaurant. Worse service that completely destroyed the experience. I really didn’t blame the waiter as they were definitely short on staff (I saw the waiter sprinting and actually running the entire time I was there). I would have spent a lot more money if the service was quicker (bought more beer, another course of food, and I would have bought a shirt).

Interesting place to drink right near a big resort. Good beer. Didnt try the food.

One of the places I most wanted to go while in Hawaii. The beer was pretty good. The food was just average. The server was a little slow considering there wasn’t very many other people in the place. Nice to be able to bring some cans out when we left. Worth a visit.

Located in a hidden strip mall, behind Macdonalds, next to Outback. It has a large open dining area when you walk in, then another dining area in the back with a small cozy U shaped bar. Had three beers, CoCoNUT Porter was pretty good, the Big Swell IPA was O.K. and the Maui Pale was disappointing. 10 oz. glass for $4. Didn’t eat but the aroma comming from the brick-hearthed grill and rotisserie was amazing even though it interfered with beer sniffing. In good beer starved Maui this was a welcome, but pricy oaisis. Been there, done that, bought the shirt.

I was last here 4 years ago when it was Fish and Game Rotisserie or something like that. Despite the name and logo change, the place hasn’t changed a bit in 4 years. Located in the corner of a nice strip mall that also features Roy’s; located less than 5 miles north of Kaanapali beach. Dark interior; padded bar stools which I recall were new when I was here in 2003, but seem a little worse for the wear now. I wish the place had outdoor seating. It’s a bit depressing to be inside in a dark bar when it’s beautiful outside. The beer is hit and miss. Of the 8 beers I had in the sampler, 4-5 were very good and 3-4 were forgettable. The hoppy ales were excellent; the doppelbock and imperial stout were disappointments. The brewer clearly knows what he’s doing. If you’re on Maui, don’t miss it.

Had a great time! This is by far the best experience at a restaurant ever, let alone a Brewpub. Not your everyday brewpub serving up the best meats and seafoods paired with some AMAZING brews. Across the board the beers, the food, the service were killer, all this and affordable too!!! A must visit in Maui.

This place isn’t technically in Lahaina, it is about 5min drive up the highway from there. It is in a strip mall. Parking was a bit of an issue at night, but not horrible. The look is low light, inside there is a rotisery over with a bar around it...to the back there is a large seating area with the bar and the open kitchen. I was here twice in one day...once for happy hour...you can’t beat $2.75 pints of qualtiy beer while in Maui...and then back for dinner. I made reservations for dinner, but didn’t need them in the least the place was maybe 1/3 full on Thur night. There was a decent live musician strumming tunes including a rendition of a Julian Lennon song that left me saying, who sings this??? It was busier at happy hour. Serviceable was excellant both times. They had around 10 beers on tap. Food was very good as well. We both had the local fish, I got mine prepared 3 different ways for a nice variety. Without a doubt, the most enjoyable meal I had while in Maui...although Cafe O’lei is a close second.
