Some devices may need a Glen Mills entry for the city, but the location is Chadds Ford. There’s a Whole Foods a few hundred feet away (worth a look, can also sit and drink a pint), a homebrew shop less than a mile up the road (closed for the day when I visited), and a Trader Joe’s maybe two miles in the other direction (no beer), and a winery not far away; this is a section of country dominated by miles and miles of strip malls in every direction, though some of them higher-end. This building (a huge space inside!) is located in the middle of a very wide median on this road, so you’re always going to be making a left turn to get in and out (my GPS had it on the right, necessitating some U-ies and leading me to the other places). Nice to sit outside around sunset, bar inside can be a little loud.

Anyway, I came for the Saison and had a sampler, 9 beers in curvy little 5-oz tasting glasses for $9.50; beers were all clean but heavy and most pretty bland; the Saison was the only clear winner of the group and most I’d call "average at best." Food was avg to above-avg, certainly better than most brewpub fare, service was pleasant and attentive. Prices were fine, maybe a bit high on some items, but probably par for the area. Walking out I saw the plaques earned from the GABF, basically medals for every year, and couldn’t help but furrow my brow. Overall, I’m willing to try the other locations but am probably done with this one.

Visit during RBSG 2011. Great little brew house. I didn’t have any food but it looked tasty. Nice selection of about 8 beers on tap and a couple of their beers in bottles. Above average for the most part. Some really nice saisons.

Stopped in here on a nice spring afternoon and took a seat on the porch. We had great service from our waitress even if she wasn’t all that knowledgeable about the beer. The food was top-notch. Not like most pub grub, this was a little classier and therefore a little pricier. The Meatloaf was very tasty. I had the "premium" beer sampler which only meant I got to try the two seasonal as well as the regular lineup. All were very well made. I ended up ordering a glass of the Vautour after my sampler as that is what brought me here in the first place. Great and easy saison. Out of the way for me otherwise I’d become a regular here.

Good place to try when visiting the Brandywine Valley. Large bar and restaurant areas, tastefully decorated. Live music on weekends. Service was efficient but cold. Had a good meal from a pretty big menu. About 8 everyday and 6 seasonal beers on tap, and we ordered exclusively from the seasonal side. Would recommend but hope you get a friendlier bartender.

Visited during RBSG 2011. Not sure which location I went to but oh well. Had a few tasty beers. Just love the brewing climate up here in Philly. So far ahead of NC still. Good service considering our huge crowd overtaking the outdoor bar.

Typical brewpub with a big seating area and a very large bar with tons of TVs. Service was pretty attentive. They were able to seat our group of 10 with just an hour’s notice, and our waiter didnt seem to mind doing 5 different checks for us. We were kind of a pain. Food was fantastic. I had the chicken cheese steak with gouda, and it was positively delicious. Pretty good selection of beers. I believe they had 6 regular brews and 3 seasonals. They were not the best, but pretty impressive for a small brewpub. The saison and pale ale were my favorites. 2 meals and 4 beers ran me about $43 before tip, so I have to say it was quite affordable. A nice place. I’d go back if I for some reason found myself in the area again.

Wanted to find out if the Saison Vautour and its GABF gold medals was all its cracked up to be and it was! A very nice brewpub nice big bar and plenty of seating area with plenty of tv’s ... the food was excellent nice variety of soups, salads and sandwiches/entrees ... the staff was the problem the bartender we had did not know much about beer besides the names and was not friendly ... other than that i grabbed a growler of the saison for $13.99 with the growler included and really enjoyed the brewpub the food was a little overpriced but was good so I didn’t mind much ... definitely seek out this place and the Saison Vautour

Been to the Glen Mills location twice now. The food is okay, if a bit pricey. The beer is average to slightly above. The Saison Vautour, which is listed as a normal house beer, is really excellent. The rest of the offerings were solid, but unspectacular. 6 house brews and two seasonals when I visited. The servicepeople don’t know much about the beer, but are friendly enough. Not a bad place, but not really worth going out of your way for.

Had lunch here on a very rainy Saturday afternoon. Sat at the bar. Service was OK, not spectacular. The beers were solid, and the Sticky Fingers was delicious. Had a mushroom-bacon-bleu cheese pizza that was really good. Prices were fair, and I picked up a couple of 750s to go. They’re another place that annoyingly do not fill other brand growlers. The bartender did so, than got bawled out by his manager. They charged me for a growler even though he filled one I brought - so he gave me an empty growler to take. Would definitely go here again.

Checked it out on a slow sunday... I have been there before just not recently. Lots of room to park. Two big open bars, plenty of seating elsewhere. The bartender knew the basics about beer but thats it. Very friendly. I didnt eat but the food looked okay... Nothing special was on tap. Overall just your average brewpub
