| sebletitje (200), Enghien, Belgium | | January 26, 2012 Similar to the Tampa location. Pizzas and, I reckon, the mellowed out bar crew. Nice support of local beers with fairly decent craft beer list that rotates on regular basis and with the seasons.
Not much in terms of atmosphere, same thing that you get in all restaurants, bar and taps with tv playing sports. Food wise, just your typical American grub. prices are decent, service is ok depending of the waiters. Nice and laid back. | | markwise (124), North of Tampa, Florida | | January 16, 2011 Visited for the firkin of CCB this past Thursday. Nice incarnation of the Mellow Mushroom concept. The service was good, the beer was good but a bit pricey, and the food is very good. I cannot resist the pretzels. With the departure of the amazing beer guy from Mellow Citrus Park, this one is the primo West Coast (of FL) Mellow Mushroom. They do several events every month and get firkins from time to time as well. | | TheWife (25), Tampa, Florida | | June 6, 2010 My family and I go here often for the pizza (and I highly recommend the pretzels). There is a decent selection of beer and I appreciate the quick offering of samples to help me decide what I want to try. The value is exceptional, especially when you aren’t charged for all the beer you drink - not sure if that is the result of some policy or a nice waitress :) Either way, I’m a dedicated regular. | | Tmoney99 (332), Cincinnati, Ohio | | January 11, 2010 Easy to find location in the front of strip mall off exit from I-75. Good parking all around. Bar on left with pizza ovens in the middle with table on right. Good selection of beers and good service. Had the Greek Salad, big portion at a fair price. Enjoyed the visit and on the way to Kingdom Liquor, so I will go again. | | HOPSHUNTER (29), Tampa, Florida | | April 18, 2009 Tried it last night. Psychedelic pizza joint with a decent selection of draft and bottle. I had the Cigar City Jai Alai and a Majaraja on tap. Pizza was OK, if you like pizza in Florida. Our server didn’t know much more about beer than how to carry it to the table but, she did do a fine job doing that. Music was really good. Overall, very cool place. I will definitely go again. | | PorterPounder (219), Tallahassee, Florida | | April 2, 2009 [ Updated April 10, 2009 ] Stopped by here in early April 2009. Had a wide selection of micros on tap and a solid selection of common imports from Germany, England and Belgium. Had two from Cigar City on tap which was nice. Bartender was engaging and knowledgeable of the local beer scene and the pizza as is always the case at Mellow Mushroom was top notch. Great tunes as well - been a long time since I heard Foghat’s "Slow Ride" blasting through the speakers. | | MikeF (205), Cleveland, Ohio | | July 13, 2008 [ Updated March 9, 2010 ] Located in a new appearing shopping center, this is a large pizzaria with numerous mushroom themed objects hung everywhere. The beer selection is good. The daily happy hour ($2 off drafts) makes it even better. Nice seasonal offerings including a few things I had not seen elsewhere. The pizza is very good and comes in many creative styles. Service is great. Just off I-4 - makes nice stop. | | knightdr (21), Valrico, Florida | | June 26, 2008 [ Updated March 8, 2010 ] Good pizza and decent selection of beer. Service can range from the unknowing (some of the waitresses don’t have much beer knowledge) to really good (manager Anthony - always good with striving for good draft/bottle selection, Bill and the Andreas at the bar know their stuff). Always a good stop for good pizza and good beer. | | kiefdog (118), Tampa, Florida | | June 22, 2008 Visited on 6/21/08. Generally, we have never been disappointed with a Mellow Mushroom because they have excellent food and a reasonable tap and bottle selection. We can typically find something we enjoy drinking. This restaurant in Brandon is no different. They had a reasonable draft selection (2 Rogues, 2 DFH, 2 Shipyard, 2 Lost Coast, Delirium Tremens, Stella, Guinness and a few more) and a decent bottle selection including both 50cl and 75cl bottles. Worth a stop if you are in the area. However, my only complaint was that our server (who was doubling as the bartender) served my draft Delirium in a pint glass and then charged me $8.50 for a pint of Delirium! Not a bad price for 16oz of Delirium, but what made this worse was that they had the appropriate glassware on hand and she didnt ask me if I wanted a pint of it. Overall, good place to visit. Might tell the server what type of glass to use when pouring the beer! | | gunhaver (13), Tampa, Florida | | February 1, 2008 Definitely have to come here once in a while to check out what’s on tap. Right now they have Bells Hopslam. A few weeks ago they had the somewhat rare Rogue Hop Heaven. Plenty in bottles, but be sure to ask what they’re out of because the list is fairly out of date. Pizza is awesome of course. Definitely a place to go to for good beer. |
