Large, multi-floored bar, reasonably modern, not particularly appealing. Main attraction was itís own beers.

Thought Iíd get my rating in quickly as it has now been taken over and renamed and this will be closed. I was last in a few weeks back before the changeover. Messrs used to be good, very good, but over the years went rapidly downhill, their American pale ale was amazing, the food was terrible, I was quoted once by a barstaff member that "once you tap a cask, it lasts around 12 days..". Anyhow, itís since been taken over and the new guys are really putting passion into it. So goodbye Messrs and welcome J.W. Sweetmans

this place is gonna go down in flames.. only had 2 house beers pouring .. lots of guinness and carlsberg taps. . crumby feel to the place, like the staff were unhappy ( talked to the only friendly bartender and found out a new owner had just taken over and has started fuckin with things, less house beer and more bmc type shit) .. the place next door had more interesting things on tap .. "dublins only brewpub" .. yeah- not for long with a retard running it... donít waste your time, you want a brewpub, go to porterhouse..

(Visited 11/2012): Messrs Maguire is located near the OíConnell bridge on the Burgh Quay. Not far from public transportation.
The inside features snugs with high table seating and the bar is on the left. Brewing equipment is visible right by the entrance. Wood and a white tile ceiling.
This brewpub has 5-6 of their beers on draught, and offers them in a sampler. On our visit these included a Dunkel, Weiss, Bock and Irish Ale. The beers are fairly middling all around.
Service at the bar on our visit was pretty good.
We did not try any food on our visit.
Overall I donít think this is the best brewpub in Dublin but given the dearth of them in Ireland in general I was glad to get to try their stuff.

Very beautiful pub. I just donít go often because their beers (plain) make strangely me sleepy. Taste Ok but I always want to go to bed after one :)

Typical busy Dublin pub, visited to try their beers, of which the red ale was very good.

The main attraction to this pub is to try their own selection of beers. Typical pub food served also.

Very central location in Dublin. Not a huge seleciton of beer, and the only had three of their own available when we visited. Some tables outside on the sidewalk - nice place to enjoy a pint in the sun!
