This was the one bar that everyone recommended we visit. We did so on our first day. We were not disapointed. Steinn our bartender was very helpful. He even set-up a trip to a brewery in Northern Iceland. The selection was excellent. They cater to local brewers across the country and not as much to the larger brewers like Viking Vilifell. He was also avaiable to decribe the brewery and the type of beer. This is a highly recommended visit to enjoy the beers of Iceland.

Cozy place, hard to find, located in Austurstrædi. Convinient for me it was about 50 meters from my hotel. Very service minded staff. Nice selection, even if there could be more icelandic beers and less mikkeller/brewdog. Still this is an awsome place with beers i’ve never tasted before. Anchorage Brewing for example. This is the place to visit in Reykjavik. Probably the only place you need if you’re into beer

Small modern but cozy bar that has great selection of world class beers from all over the world. The range of beers is very good and the staff is knows what it is doing. 8 taps with Icelandic beers from micro breweries in Iceland. Place that every beer geek has to check out if they have the change.

Best selection of beers in Reykjavik. A nice little plain bar. More beers on tap at Micro Bar than in other bars in Reykjavik.

Bra utbud, till och med mycket bra utbud, av isländska öl från microbryggerier. Nummer 1 i Reykjavik, och därmed även på Island. Det var t o m så att när jag var på Vinbarinn och frågade efter en speciell öl, så sa kvinnan till mig att gå till Micro Bar, de har den säkert. Vilket de hade. Dessutom en hel del danska öl, främst från Mikkeller.

Great place, nice selection and the most friendly staff. And by all means the best place to meet beer loving locals. Good selection of Icelandic brews, a large list of Mikkeller, Brewdog and To Øl, and a balanced list of others. Had a brilliant time there sharing a few beers.

Craft beers have not caught on in Iceland like elsewhere in the Nordic world. This bar seems to be the only game in town. Nice selection of Icelandic micro brew on tap plus many bottles from brew dog and mikkeler.

Opened in june 2012. Speciality: On tap is only beer from 3 microbreweries in Iceland that is impossible to get elsewhere. Only pub in Reykjavík with a wide selection. Lots of Mikkeller. Some trappists, brewdog, flying dog and more quality Belgians. 1 tap is on happy hour from 1700-1900. Attentive and knowledgeable staff

The only, and best place for micro-beer in Iceland. Placed in the breakfast-area of a Hotel, and have to close early (23-00ish). Flying dog, loads og Mikkeller and some nice local craftbeers. Interesting place. Friendly staff.
