62 Quite a big place. They had 10 or so of their own beers on tap and quality was OK. |
66 Nice location next to Gatineau bridge close to the river. Due to construktion works just a few seatings at the pation, but a lot inside. Beers are solid, rotating taps and flight available. Smart staff. |
54 Beautiful location, right at the bridge to Gatineau. Expansive place with lots of seating, inside and outside. It’s Mill Street, so don’t expect anything from the beer quality. They had some rotating taps, so I got a flight of 4 of those, which came to about $15 after tax — that’s expensive for mediocre beers. Nothing on my flight was more than passable. Friendly service and a good location, but don’t go for the beer unless you just want ticks. |
70 Been there few times over the years. Last time about 3 years ago for the retirement party of a colleague. Beautiful setting, nice selection of their own beers. |
66 Huge riverside brewpub. Professionally run more than homely with a long list of beers that are more solid than charming. Food menu is burger-centric. |
68 2016-10-01. The space sort of feels like a polished Anglophone Ottawa echo of Brasseurs du Temp in many ways - the view of the river from the men’s room being a big one of them, the relatively large open areas being another. We came for brunch/lunch with friends and had a nice meal together. My Brewer’s Breakfast platter was very tasty and a huge portion - to the point of being overcrowded on the plate actually, resulting in a tragic loss of bacon at one point. Tap list has a good range of styles of their own beers. The glassed in tanks in the main area seem like a cramped work area for the brewer but make for a nice centrepiece to the venue. Overall a decent spot and enjoyable, but if you are not planning on eating there are more interesting tap lists in town. Location is a plus, we walked along the waterfront from the Parliament buildings. |
72 Went there in September 2014 on a friday evening. Beautiful place located in an old stone mansion close to Outaouais River, 10 min away from Ottawa’s downtown. Beautiful inside too. Great mix of rustic and modern decorations. Place was packed and we were sit at the bar. The waiter didn’t say a word in French (that’s a major problem in Ottawa...) but was helpful and gave us a good service. Beer selection is all-around/large-public/easy-to-drink brewer’s beers. We had a really decent meal with their pub style menu. Not a must stop in Ottawa but a good place for a meal with a cold brew. |
78 Restaurant located right off the border of QC/ON beside the river in an old brick house. The place was well renovated. Good choice of house beer (which are not bad) and full pub style menu which is OK. Prices are fair for location. Waiter was nice and helpful. Not bad but not great either. |
60 This is truly a hard place to rate. Located close to the Ottawa River, within walking distance from the Parliament and other tourist attractions, it is a modern pub-cum-restaurant. I visited it on an early Tuesday evening and it was absolutely packed. The staff are neither friendly nor quick to serve but some of them know something about their beer. The selection includes several taps of own produce, mostly quite satisfactory. Not very expensive, especially for the generous flights, but I do not feel like going there again. Been there, done that. Did not try the food, but it looked okay. There is a beer store in one of the rooms, offering both bottled beer from the brewpub and some ususal merchandise (T-shirts, mugs, etc.) |
