Nice brewery with great beers on tap. Not located in the best neighborhood but haven’t had a bad beer on tap. I did like that they had Cuvee on tap and the H20 stout was awesome as well as the Masala Mama. They are good to people in their pints club and customers who frequent their pub.

They had about 15 beers available, flights were a great option and affordable. Food was great and the place is cool. Will definitely be going back often.

Been here a lot, might as well get a rate in. One of my favorite breweries in the area, but will try to separate beer quality from the location itself. Service can be spotty sometimes, but other times servers go above and beyond to answer questions about beers, even going to the back to check with the brewers. Great selection of beers, with a nice rotating tap list and the ability to get samplers. Food is pretty good too, if a bit overpriced (same goes for some of the beer too). Great place though that I have given a lot of business over the years

Excellent brewpub - certainly among the best in the Twin Cities, and on par with the better ones I’ve visited nationally. The atmosphere is a bit generic, but fortunately seating is plentiful. The food is good, but falls into the somewhat predictable "upscale pub fare" category. The beers are obviously the main attraction, and they don’t disappoint. The Masala Mama is world class, and pretty much everything else is nearly as good. Great place.

Re-Rate: Last rating 9/30/09 before "value" was added as a category. I see that my earlier ratings are not really applicable as Town Hall has expanded it’s brewing capacity, offerings and added guest beers to its’ lineup.Despite the addition of some worth competition such as Surly, Indeed and Steel Toe, still the best brewer in the State IMO. Original: There are two separate dining areas with a long bar in one of them. The floor and ceiling decor are unique and the place is very comfortable. A bonus is that Worldperks (Northwest Airlines) credit card users get quadruple miles per dollar spent. The food is excellent although avoid the occasional brunch spreads they hold before Metrodome events. The "seasonal" beer offerings change over frequently and don’t often repeat, so if you know a particular brew is on tap don’t wait too long to get it. 4,6,7,8,18

average US brew pub. Quite a few good IPA’s. Only beer place I visited in Minneapolis, overall alright.

Update 12/18/2012- Town Hall has changed their food menu in the past year and I think it was a good thing. Overall, the food is much more flavorful and the options are more intriguing. The beers are awesome as always, so not much to say there. I am going to give them a few bonus points though for their increasing focus on special seasonal and limited release beers. I love barrel aged week!

I used to hang out here fifteen years ago when it was just close and quick. Had to go back and see if the hype was warranted. Decent bar atmosphere, fairly busy on a Monday night. Running about 10 taps total. All in all a good, not great, place.

Maybe I’ll need to go again but I had a lot of trouble with the bill and that was a downer but OH WELL :p I tried the Oatmeal stout and that was delicious and creamy. Loved how mild, yet memorable the mouthfeel was. The Lift Bridge Harvester/Wet hopped ale was absolutely amazing. Far better than the Indeed Wet Hopped I tried before it, which was too bitter for me. The Lift Bridge had such a fresh juicy flavor I was all crazy up on that beer. The hummus platter is absolutely amazing and a great deal during happy hour.

Town Hall was the only beer spot I had time to visit in Minneapolis. Located on a super busy corner just outside downtown. Parking sucks. Almost no meters and the garage was $7. Kick in the nuts for someone on a travel budget. 9 different beers on tap, organized into 5 regulars and 5 seasonals but the fifth seasonal spot was empty. The expensive ($11) seasonal sampler subbed in a cask Hope and King or Masala Mama for the empty spot. Place gets crowded. Service was fine. Food is nothing special but solid and prices aren’t too high there. Overall a solid brewpub but find a ride/bus because of the parking and they need to price the samplers fairly.
