| SHIG (141), Anchorage, Alaska | | March 29, 2012 My family took me here for my birthday since I was celebrating in Tallahassee, otherwise I probably would not have gone. The beer were average at best, but they had other more well known beers on tap as well. Service was spotty as well, but it seemed fairly busy. If your a ticker in Tally, there is at least 4 on their sampler. | | Aurelius (105), Tallahassee, Florida | | January 29, 2012 Have I not rated Momos? Well, I’m glad they started up a brewpub, and the brews ginnned up by the Homebrew Den gurus are pretty good. Unfortunately, I really don’t like their pizza - it’s a bit scorched and bland (though big) for me. The base is under-yeasted, under-salted and it just kinda lays there. The service is hit and miss. The menu is a bit too narrow. Parking is OK, but you have to crane your steering. The restaurant layout in the Market Street location is f’ed up. They won’t let you enter the bar without first entering the separate restaurant, crossing the patio and then going into the bar adjacent to the Homebrew Den. | | Boesky (35), Galesburg, Illinois | | January 5, 2012 Tennessee St location. Raucous atmosphere, crowded and boisterous. Music was loud, lots of sports on the TVs.
College age staff and clientele. Not a lot of handles, but enough decent ones to sample whilst waiting for your pizza. Slices "the size of your head", NY style. Pretty decent. | | misrahi (15), Tallahassee, Florida | | December 14, 2011 My personal favorite for pizza in Tallahassee. Service is always polite and friendly, and the knowledge of the servers has gotten better. A must stop in Tallahassee, seeing as there aren’t a whole lot of brewpubs in Tallahassee (currently). Solid selection of southern micro’s, though I have yet to see anything rare come on tap. Their house beer is solid, but certainly is meant to please plenty and isn’t particularly bold. | | blbaub (10), Florida | | January 15, 2011 HUGE pizza. Good stuff too. Place is a pizza joint that has great pizza for a great price, so who cares about ambiance? If you want great pizza, check it out. | | mlunger12 (38), Tallahassee, Florida | | November 18, 2010 Beer Selection is average, maybe 10 things on tap, the usual Bud, Yuengling and then the rest craft. I remember seeing some Bluepoint and Swamphead. Their calzones are delicious, the pizza is very good thin crust, and the prices aren’t outrageous. | | darn1207 (59), Tallahassee, Florida | | July 18, 2010 A little underrated beer-wise for Tally. First off, it’s important to distinguish between the N.E. location and the one near campus. This one has far more space and brews. Can get Two Hearted pitchers and a slice (nuff said). They rotate their taps fairly regularly and have a decent bottle selection. The influence of the HomeBrew Den next door is obvious and welcome. Oh - and good pizza also. I don’t know of another place in town that serves food and has a beer selection this good. | | nolegirl (10), Florida | | December 29, 2009 This place is for a FSU Alum for sure...only FSU students or Alum’s can appreciate. Hello, this is not for 40 year old snobby beer people... I LOVE GREAT BEER AND CAN PAY FOR IT but this place is all about personality, pizza and some good beers too! Where can you find a small town/great huge University and get great beer and pizza on a budget? MOMO’S, and yes, pizza slices as big as your head! It’s the best of both worlds and on a college students budget ;) Good times for sure! | | drowland (116), Tallahassee, Florida | | October 20, 2009 [ Updated June 2, 2011 ] Update: June, 2011
My rating below is for the Momo’s on Tennessee Street, but the one on Market Street is much better. The place is bigger, there is more beer, etc. If you’re in town and want some pretty good pizza, definitely hit up the Market Street location and you’ll get some good brews while there as well.
Well, I wasn’t impressed much by this place, but it’s a cool place to hang out now and then.
The place is small and cramped, and basically impossible to find somewhere to sit if it’s busy. There is tons of goofy crap all over the walls, but they’re also written all over and the place is pretty scroungy.
The service is okay... you order yourself at the cash register, which takes way too long, and they bring out your food after simply screaming your name and wandering around looking for you. They’re good about picking up your plates, trays, empties, etc.
The selection isn’t that great. A few good craft beers on tap, but nothing you haven’t seen before.
The food was fine, but not what I was expecting after all the hype. Yes, my slice of pizza was ENORMOUS, but it wasn’t anything special.
The value really isn’t bad... I got a freakin’ huge piece of pizza for 4 bucks and 16oz cans of PBR for $1.50, the cheapest beer they had for the value. There is also dollar off drafts during happy hour
Overall, stop by and try the pizza and calzones and maybe have a decent brew while you’re there... but don’t make it a regular stop. | | daknole (204), Scottsdale, Arizona | | August 12, 2009 You can get a pizza the size of the moon and some pretty damn good beers also. Fun place for sure. |
