Stopped in in the middle of a weekday. The bartender was friendly and I was able to try a few decent beers. Not great beer, but no major flaws either. The place was huge and reminded me of a large country type bar. I like the old building.

Stopped here after a three hour drive from the Pensacola area. Shame you have to drive this far just to experience freshly brewed beer in the state of Alabama. The beer was average to just below average. The service was super friendly, however, and the food decent. Tasted my first alligator tail here, and had some New Orleans style shrimp. A bit dark inside. Place is easy to find from I65.

Rerate - stopped by again in June ’08 for appetizers before a Biscuits baseball game. They were out of half of what the y usually have on tap - not a good thing, but the Maibock I had was tasty. Also out of root beer for the kids. Original Visited here in December ’07 on a business lunch so could not partake as much as I wanted other than sampling the seasonal on tap. This place appeared to be THE place to go for lunch in downtown Montgomery. Although it was packed, the service was very quick. Solid, but limited menu - typical brewpub fare. Had the Black and Blue burger which was decent. Looking over their beer list - seemed to have their four or five regulars on tap and a rotating seasonal - the seasonal I sampled was fair. Hope to visit for dinner some time on a return visit.

Great food for good prices. Beer is decent, but not outstanding. Best place in the area, but no beers over 6%.

Very large and open industrial building. The waiter seemed to have a lot going on without much business. Had 4 house brews on tap plus a house root beer and two ciders. Food came out very quickly and tasted like it had come out very quickly.

Stopped by while visiting my brother. Nice atmosphere, good food and surprisingly good beer (I wasn’t expecting much). Definitely a place to check out if you’re in the area.

The food is better then the beer. At night thry have bands that come and play. More of a bar then a brewpub

Great micro-brew - not to be underappreicated in the State of Alabama... The pizza (from their own ovens) is great too. Much better use of an old landmark than to be used as a warehouse or hardware store. If you’re into micros, and you’re in Alabama, this is your place

Unfortunately, I get to Montgomery from time to time. The MBC is about the only place I’ve found that has more than Bud Light on the menu. It’s less than extraordinary, but their beers are alright and it’s a nice enough joint. 8/06 update: My wife went this week and they were actually OUT OF THEIR BEER. The waiter was quick to offer Bud Light, so my wife left. Unbelievable.

Nice warehouse brewpub by the ballpark. The brewmaster chatted with me as I was rating and he was throwing hops into the tanks. He gave me a card for a free pitcher next time I’m in. Decent chow.
