| MIBRomeo (125), Wisconsin | | November 13, 2011 Ok little place. The beer is all similar and lacking, the food ok, and our service was pretty bad at the bar, but it did seem better other places. If your desperate for a brew pub and some good pizza it’s worth a visit, outside of that, probably not. | | arkurzynski (58), West Bend, Wisconsin | | November 1, 2011 Northwoods feel. Decent pizza/other menu items. Beer is hit or miss, but overall pretty decent. All in all, a place I always stop when in the area. | | esjaygee (204), Oak Creek, Wisconsin | | August 18, 2011 A pizza delivery PT cruiser with a large moose on top made this place easy to find on the Dells strip. Inside, everything was antlers or moose in terms of décor. Service was okay, food was okay but a bit on the spendier side. The beer was all over the map but nothing stellar although a few were decent. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back, though if I’m town riding Hellcat, Hades or Zues, I’d probably stop back in. | | Scubatrip (35), Annandale, Virginia | | August 23, 2010 What a gold mine. I was a little wary of the place from the exterior. It’s huge and in the hear of tourist town. On a Sunday (albeit summer) night, there were half-hour waits from when we got there until we left. Lots of families, but a good sized bar with plenty of good beers. I was told there is an arcade downstairs, which would be great if you have kids. The pizza is probably the best I’ve had in WI, although that’s not saying much. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area. | | jsf23mr (15), Chicago, Illinois | | May 4, 2010 The pizza and beer here is phenomenal!!! I got the sampler, which was great, along with a pizza, which was just as good. Very unique place, log cabin style in the Wisonsin dells. I would definitely go back! | | Nuffield (85), Roseville, Minnesota | | March 28, 2010 You’re in a tourist town, so all things considered this isn’t that bad. The beer selection (10 beers) includes a lot of generic brewpub beers, but a couple are interesting. Nice atmosphere. Food is overpriced--$6.49 for kids meals is atrocious--but the pizza is a decent option for feeding the kids (really good sausage on the pizza). The arcade downstairs is also way overpriced. Decent service. I expect to be in the Dells again but I probably won’t return. Great cars for delivery--big moose on VW bugs. | | drpimento (120), La Crosse, Wisconsin | | September 3, 2009 Whoa, I have to admit that I was prejudiced against this place for some obtuse reason. However, I was put in my place in the best way possible. Great place! Attention was paid to the smallest detail. Aesthetics have played a crucial role in the design and execution of the building and operation of this place. Should be around for at least 100 years. And, AND - good beer to boot! Only had appetizers to eat and they were tasty. Bit pricey, but on the other hand beer was almost crazy cheap! Looking forward to a return ASAP. | | beastiefan2k (141), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas | | June 20, 2009 Stopped her on the drive to Minneapolis. Been only once, not planning to come back again but would if the opportunity came up. It is close to the highway, so not far out of the way. The area seems to be a bit of a tourist spot as far as Wisconsin goes. Moosejaw is a very artificial, seems like corporate owned place. Chrysler’s with moose on them sit in the parking lot. The inside is all fake, decorated to be a lodge with stuffed animals. Way over the top, think if TGIF made a lodge-like restaurant. @ floors, lots of room, lots of tables, very family friendly. The brewing facilities are on the 2nd floor, out & beautiful. Food: average prices, average selection, for a brewpub, I did not eat a pizza. Otherwise, my brat and my lady’s BLT tasted ok, very average. Beer; above average. 12 on tap. 1 oaked porter, lots of styles. No flaws, lages done very well, especially the "Red" lager. Only the 2 weakest (mainstream appealing) were uninteresting. I would stop by again if I was around but I wouldn’t make a trip out there just for it. | | msante79 (253), Mount Prospect, Illinois | | May 5, 2009 Stopped in with family on vacation. Very nice looking place. Service was very poor. First on an empty Sunday evening they sit me, my obviously pregnant wife, and my 1 1/2 year old daughter in the bar when the rest of the dinning area was empty. We then order an appetizer and they forgot to bring it before our meal. Not even an I am sorry from out waiter. My burger was dry and had to be sitting under a lamp forever. Had a 6 5oz sampler and can say there was not a bad beer in the mix but nothing that great either. Would come back for beers but that is it. | skoll (7), Traverse City, Michigan does not count - explanation | | October 9, 2008 I had what they call the 10 point sample of all their beer. I asked the waiter for a copy of the beer menu so I could make some note so I could log them into this site he said that thay did not have one. My wife and enjoyed the appitizer and he shows up with a copy off the copy machine, now that is good service, Thanks Dan. We enjoyed the beer and made all kinds of note then when we left I left it behind, sorry Dan. pizza was a little bit doughy but good. |
