80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 DYCSoccer17 (275) Woodland, California | April 2, 2013 I was here last weekend. The service was great. They came over and chatted me up and gave me some good pointers on the local beers, etc. They have a pretty good selection of local beers and regional beers. Mostly all refridgerated. A friendly place, and I can see why they score so well. Nothing super rare, but solid nonetheless. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 14/20 MAFountain (7) Cedar Rapids, Iowa | January 14, 2013 A small store with most of the emphasis on wine. However, the beer they do stock is worth checking out. A nice selection of Colorado beers, priced accordingly with other stores. They do have some hard to find bottles though in the coolers, and on shelves. Worth checking out. | 90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 markwise (157) North of Tampa, Florida | November 22, 2012 Went in here with IBrew2or3 and some friends on a GABF Thursday. The place had just opened and one of the owners came up and started chatting it up with us. He was happy to show us around his selection and tell us about new and interesting beers. He was very knowledgeable and had a great selection of beers both limited and unlimited. I will make it in here every time I am in Denver. With a location within walking distance of Falling Rock, River North, and Star Bar, like MacArther, I will return! | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 jackl (208) London, England | November 16, 2012 Mr. B’s is located in a convenient spot of Denver. The ambiance is fine - pleasant, clean, and well lit. The service is truly phenomenal. The owner, Scott, went above and beyond to provide me with a great shopping experience. He provided plenty of great tips on the local brewing scene, and was very happy to guide me through his stock. The selection was quite good. Not large, but well curated. I understand that the selection’s usually stronger, but since I visited not long after GABF, the store was in the process of recovering their usual selection. Still, there was plenty of great beer to choose from, and I had to exercise restraint not to spend several hundred dollars. I appreciate the amount of local brews they have. The value was pretty solid, nothing to complain about. Overall, I highly recommend this place. The selection’s strong, the service’s world class. | 88 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 Ibrew2or3 (300) Tempe, Arizona | October 20, 2012 Cool spot on a corner nearby Falling Rock and Star Bar. I love the retro looking vertical “Liquor” sign out front. Inside I see almost everything here is stored cold with a small yet nice aisle end shelving unit with the more interesting brews. One of the staff noticed we were looking for obscure to maybe semi rare items. He quickly proceeded to help us out and show us all the goodies on hand on the shelves as well as the stuff we could get not on display. The staff has plenty of knowledge about beer and the local industry. Overall a small selection but well thought out with some stuff I doubt other places in town will have. Worth a stop if you’re already in the area. Finally adding my rating. So a score of 95 well deserved points. I’m obviously not alone on how awesome this place is. Go here!!! | 96 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 19/20 jc4031 (17) Colorado | October 16, 2012 These guys are really helpful and willing to talk beer. Great selection and rotating stock. Great staff | 92 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 JPDurden24 (110) Chandler, Arizona | October 14, 2012 Walked in to this place and the owner strolled up to us and hooked us up with rare beers in the back and a great knowledge base. Very cool. | 94 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 Gueuzedude82 (13) Colorado | September 20, 2012 Found this shop thanks to a recommendation from a bartender at Falling Rock, and I’m so glad that I did. I was immediately approached by the owner who was super friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. The selection wasn’t huge, but plenty big and very impressive. These guys are really focused on craft beer. Found some BFM, Loverbeer, Trois Dames, Crooked Stave, Hanssens, De Molen, Russian River...This place is a gem. Check it out. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 Thorpe429 (58) , Illinois | July 26, 2012 Stopped in this place late last week after first visiting Freshcraft and Falling Rock. It was a typical store, with beer on the right and more wine and whatnot in the center. Plenty of cold sixpacks. Nice selection of large-format bottles as well. Certainly a good place to visit if you’re anywhere near Coors Field. | 100 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 20/20 ColoBeerMan (1) , | July 25, 2012 This great craft beer oasis in LoDo has a terrific hand-picked selection of craft beers from Colorado and across the country, including a lot of the real rarities that disappear quickly from shelves around town. The guys who run know what they are doing and try hard, and seems to have translated into the respect they get from breweries and distributors. |
