Interesting place. The beers range from average to good. The atmosphere is a bit sterile, but they do have a pretty good selection and it isn’t too badly priced.

Can’t add to much more than the other guys, except that getting served can be a struggle if a few buses turn up at the same time. Otherwise its great and the beers well made, hopefully the quality will remain after Ians departure. I’d happily recommend the Black Cockatoo, St Bridget and Yippy IPA to anyone.

This very impressive set-up takes the Australian brewpub to new levels. Unashamedly targetting the Gold Coast Hinterland’s tourist market (and why not) I can’t think of the last time I saw a seriously high volume of people from all walks of life hoovering down very well made beers matched to great bar food and a serious cheese selection via Witches Cheese. $10 will get you a 4 beer tasting tray (generous serves of say 100ml each) and individual 355ml serves are $5 - $6. Unfortunately only the Mountain Beer bitter was available for takeaways. Loved the idea of little info cards accompanying each beer. I understand that brewer Ian Watson is moving on; a damn shame given the very impressive quality of the beers.

MT Brewery has a good selection of beers available, there were nine when I visited. It’s a good set up here, also with a restaurant and cheese shop on the premises, although I didn’t try any food during my visit. The beers are tasty and sample trays are available so extra points.
