Well-attended bar in downtown San Diego, Gaslamp quarter. The place is nice but terribly noisy. Music was very loud, ruining the nice atmosphere, in my own view. It was also fairly dark, but that happens in a lot of bars. Service at the bar was OK (bartender alone taking care of orders and making cocktails). Selection of beers was quite OK. The food was good! Overall, my only problem was with the loud music. Not the best place for beer tasting.

Came here on 19.4.2018. Centrally located beer bar with very good beer selection of mainly SD beers. Nice dark ambiance, opened large windows and welcoming bar in front of the taps. I had a Green Flash Tropical and a Green Flash Celebration IIIPA They have interesting beer + whiskey deals (e.g. Stiegl Radler + Mezgal). Service was extremely nice and attentive. This is a beer bar you wish to have in your home town.

Visited 22nd November 17. After Toranado and Bottlecraft. The place has a nice vibe, good list and a nice crowd, they also do flights, I chose 4 IPAs / Pales including a Russian River, $10.00. The staff were friendly and fun. It's also in the centre and easily accessible, just outside the main Gaslamp area, would recommend.

Visited about the lunchtime, the place was quite full. Very good beer selection, some breweries I haven’t seen at other places, finding new and interesting beers shouldn’t be a problem. Real star of our visit was the burger, one of the best I had in my life. Good service. Prices are on higher end for such a place, but worth it.

Just okay. Nothing too special on tap today. 13 bucks for a flight of 4. Vibe is decent.

A cozy corner joint offering up a solid beer selection. Plenty of hard to find beers and a wide-range of styles. Barkeepers have always been knowledgeable and friendly when I’ve stopped in. Can get crowded during the peak hours. Has big open windows letting in lots of natural light and plenty of outdoor seating, too. Really nice stop for a bite and a few great beers.

Well, this gastropub was high on the list prior to a Padres game and the food did not disappoint. The beer selection was smaller than I expected but still a varied and fresh list was offered. The team service kept us feeling welcome. Prices are a little high but in line with downtown San Diego. The place itself is fairly eclectic and I would describe it as a literary place.

This is a corner space at 8th and G street where it has these cool large swing out windows giving you unique seating options. The space’s décor is eclectic almost to the point of being too much. There’s no real booth seating here but low tables and a kitchen counter sort of thing that puts you almost outside looking out onto 8th street. There is alos a meandering dark wood bar with stool seatnig. There are seemingly out of place animal mountings up on the walls like a deer, a rhino, a mouse, a jack-a-lope, an ostrich and a duck. Above a few of the many taps on the top shelf are large format beer bottles that are mostly Stone and I see this as a nice touch. The beer selection was ok, there’s nothing to get the beer geek excited but there’s still options that will make us happy. I like the 32oz and 64oz glass growlers that are used as water pitchers. I overheard they top off the water for each successive customer rather than pouring out the water and replacing it. I had the beat salad paired with their shoestring French fries that come with two types of house made dipping sauces. D-Lish. The service was great. I’ll be back for more food for sure and maybe a beer.
