Traveling to Charleston, WV for my job has become more inviting now that I came across O’Kays. Excellent service, great beers, good food, and overall fun atmosphere makes this a must visit when I’m in the Charleston area. I hope this place thrives for many years to come.

O Kays (formerly Blues) is a great place with a brash, but hilarious owner named Kay. The beer selection is probably some of the best in West Virginia, and the bar is an interesting hodge podge deal that makes it all the more unique. Food is definitley good and currently have a very cute waitress that is worth the stop to chat to. It is definitley a chill place, very casual, and not too intimidating even being non-West Virginians and only 22 years old. The patrons seemed to think this was the best place in the area, but some of the patrons were a bit off. If a suit looking guy has a headset on and speaks horrible Italian in a southern accent just ignore him. Other than that, Okay rocks and Kay is a good old gal.

A nice little find on the way through WV from KY back home. Easily accessible off the major highways, the food was great for lunch, and they had a handful of WV microbrews available on draft to drink while there. Service was very country-style friendly, while the restaurant was welcoming to kids/family. If you want to check WV off your beermap on the way through the state, this place is worth a visit.

Best beer selection around. Surprised to find the food is excellent as well. Quiet laid-back atmosphere, eclectic decor, low lighting. Very relaxed setting. Staff knows beer, esp. those on hand, including 2 WV micros (draft $3.75),many micro/specialty beers ($3.50), many imports ($4.00), several Special Imports (Ayinger, Samuel Smith - $5.00), Lindemans Framboise ($8.00).
