| YULbier (209), Brno, Czech Republic | | May 21, 2012 Great bottle selection and the possibility to taste your purchases on the premisces. A few steps from Mikkeller Bar and Fermentoren. If it wasn’t for the whores and the crackheads, this neighborhood would be heaven! | | MonMadsen (65), , Denmark | | May 21, 2012 Visited July 9th. Superb selection for a beergeek! They have a lot af beers that you can’t find many places in Denmark. You can also drink, what you buy in the shop. Beers are a litlle bit pricier than other shops. A must visit if in Copenhagen. | | Scopey (150), Croydon, England | | May 19, 2012 Ølbutikken is a fairly compact beer store located a moment away from Mikkeller. I visited during CBC, which meant (unsurprisingly) that it was pretty damn busy. Beer selection is brilliant. Extensive Danish, Belgian and US selection. They carry so many beers that you just cannot get elsewhere in Europe: Three Floyds, cans of Heady Topper and Kuhnhenn 4D, to name but a few. Prices seemed pretty reasonable to me, considering that I could not get these beers elsewhere. Beers can also be consumed on-site, which I will do next time when the place is not so busy. Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. A great beer shop. | | suprchunk (60), Heinsberg, Germany | | May 14, 2012 Decent selection, but pricey. Very helpful staff. A little too crowded, but it is a small room. We stocked up a couple times while there as the stock was depleted rather quickly. Definite ’must visit’ from a beer geek perspective. | | Leighton (227), London, England | | May 14, 2012 To me, this place seems a bit overrated. It does have a great selection but by no means does it have the best selection in Copenhagen. Lots of American beers available, which of course is an attraction to Europeans that don’t get over to the States. Aside from the US beers, there are some nice Belgians with a few interesting vintage beers and plenty of Danish stuff. All prices pretty typical for Denmark. The shop is fairly small but when it isn’t too busy (which it was on my visit) I’d say this would be a great place to sit and have a beer. (Although, the premium you pay to drink the beer in-house seems a bit high, generally about DKK 20-40 more than the take-out price it seemed.) They have a nice bathroom, which is a plus as well. It’s definitely worth visiting here, especially since this place is so close to the Mikkeller bar. | | Travlr (638), Washington, Washington DC | | May 13, 2012 Small place packed with goodies. Staff were super helpful. Prices were not bad. Easy walk from the train station. For sure worth a long look. | | gEUS (17), Linden, Belgium | | May 10, 2012 Small shop with a great beer selection, quite expensive though... Friendly staff, even when the shop was packed with people (pre S&B afternoon). | | 50belair (41), Florida | | May 9, 2012 Cool little bottle shop/bar in the red light district of Copenhagen. Super friendly staff who dialed us in with a killer little local spot to grind. A lot more American beers than I was expecting, but still a had a nice European presence also. | | banii (22), Trondheim, Norway | | April 28, 2012 The place to go for the extreme beer-geek. Great selection of rare lambics and danish micros. Also some good stuff from the US. | | jorgenah (10), , | | April 23, 2012 If you spend a bit, and show real interest, the shopkeeper will treat you to a beer. Had some real gems in the shelves. |
