| foundersfan (11), Ohio | | December 1, 2009 Fish and chips, what can i say! Tap selection could be better. Thay dont have very many dark beers on tap. | | OhioDad (38), Hilliard, Ohio | | March 29, 2006 Stopped by for a late night burger after a hockey game. The parking was ample as this is located in a strip mall. Inside you will find a very small old world type of pub. Very homey and neighborhood like. Tap selection was pretty good. Probably around 12 the night I went. One from Dogfishhead, Bell’s, GLBC etc. Food was great. I had the Cajun Burger, it was huge and delicous. A nice place to get away for a sandwich and still have a good brew. | | Dogbrick (423), Columbus, Ohio | | December 7, 2004 Located in the Grandview area of Columbus, this Old Bag of Nails pub is located in a small shopping center right on the street. There is a very small lot directly in front, as well as street parking nearby.
Inside, the bar area is on the left and the dining area is on the right. As with other Old Bag locations, there is a nice collection of vintage breweriana around - old cans, signs, etc. The bar is tucked away in the rear corner and has a fair amount of seating.
The beer selection is pretty good. The usual British Pub selections (Guinness, Harp etc) in bottles, along with some other selections from the likes of Young’s and Fuller’s. On tap there are a lot of standard beers but always some nice seasonals like GLBC Christmas and Bell’s Winter White.
The food here is excellent, like every other location. The fish and chips is killer, and the sandwiches are great.
All in all you can’t go wrong with any visit to one of the Old Bag of Nails pubs in the Columbus area. My heart still lies with the worthington location because the focus seems to be more on the pub than the restaurant, but you really can’t go wrong with a visit to any of them. |
