Can be very popular in the evenings, but you might have the place to yourself in the daytime. This pub is set over two floors in a new building on the corner of Portland and Princess Streets with China Town behind it. The rooms are not too big the seating is comfortable enough, mainly around the wall areas. Food is served with a more defined dining area upstairs. Holts bitters are on several taps with a slightly greater range of bottles available in the fridges behind the bar. The only one of three pubs in a row that has WiFi.

Very traditional looking boozer, one of the many for Joseph Holt, a significant regional brewer. Good atmosphere and a full range of the Holt beers on cask. Didnít try the food but there seemed to be a substantial offering. I had the Mild which didnít excite me but apart from the that, seems like a decent alehouse.
