Large, multi-room place with a patio; very dark when I visited, it was even difficult to read the menu. Quite a good selection of around 30 draught and more bottles, sketchy food menu, punk rock music, quite deserted at 9 pm. Noce place to visit in daylight again.

Big bar with patio seating. Solid tap selection. 30 beers on tap. All craft. Ordered a plate of fries which were solid. Typical pub feel. Service was good. Itís right around the corner from Foolís gold and near New Beer.

Stopped by here with a large group (+10 people) and it was actually easy to seat all of us. The bar space and ambiance is great with a full wrap around design and high top tables beyond the bar seating. Large table space towards the back which easily accommodated our large group. I was really shocked by the draft list especially since I had never really heard of this place. Seemed like nearly 40-50 draft options including both local and regional craft offerings of varying style. Lots of fresh IPAs. Some imperial stouts. I believe they had some crooked stave bottles last time I was there. Friendly staff. Service was good especially considering it was a busy Saturday night. I wish this place was closer to my apartment.

This was a pleasant surprise. A fantastic neighbourhood bar displaying a well thought out draft selection and with a nice focus on not just hoppy beers but also stouts, saisons and sours. I guess you can say that something for everyone can be found here. Thereís plenty of seating at the bar as it wraps around the main room with the tills and serving area filling the centre space. Cosy atmosphere and I think there was a back area but didnít venture out there. Taplist is clearly displayed on two boards each side of the room as well as on printed menus. The food menu looked like good hearty grub but I didnít eat on my visit. The lady behind the bar was friendly and knowledgeable. I was excited to see an upcoming sour and funk fest but at the same time gutted I was missing out! In my opinion this is a must visit NYC bar.

This is a very nice beer bar with ample space to sit down, talk, and drink. The beer list is rather large, with many good options. While there are some more mainstream options there, they eschew any macros from tap (perhaps you can get cans, but I donít even know). All that I do know is that I have tried many interesting beers at this bar that I have not seen on tap at other establishments. As for the ambiance, I like the way the bar is set up that is essentially split down the middle. So while this place is rather large, it gives off a small cozy vibe. The bartenders generally know what they are talking about (the Irish guy seemed to know what is up). They also have quite good bottles. They are one of the few places in New York to bootleg (Arctic Panzerwolf bottles, anyone?). I have been back, and I will again. This is also a great bar to take non-beer nerd people because it doesnít come off too strong like that. I donít think I have ever had the food, but my girlfriend went one day to get the food and was impressed by both the value and the quality.

Visited during imperial night - go big or go home . Best selection I ever saw in a pub , including heady topper , zombie dust , arctic pantzer wolf etc on bottle / can , and various big boys on tap ( hopslam - the very first bar to serve this years - , bourbon county , Double BA plead the fifth , etc etc . Helpfull staff but sadly enough they dropped a lot of helpfullness due to being overcrowded . Bar is open on two sides, with the exact same setting on both sides , making it appear to have a mimmor-ish effect . Tables in the back . Lovely place ! Hopefully I can return in time to see how it is withoud the event as well . They do flights as well ( even during the event ) so whats not too like ?

This place has a surprisingly large tap list of maybe 40 or so that is fairly heavy on the locals. When I was there they had Ommegang, Brooklyn, Sixpoint, Singlecut, Captain Lawrence, and Ithaca. They also had Founders, Victory, Stone, Crooked Stave, Firestone, and Smuttynose. Aside from Barrier most of those are not exactly small breweries but there were a couple of good choices. Didnít spend a lot of time here, just enough for a quick beer and on to the next place in the pub crawl. Service was friendly enough and let me try the Barrier Money IPA.

Great spot to do some sampling. Draft list is robust (30 taps) and has good turnover. All beers available in 3oz tasters. Never too crowded, even on Fri/Sat nights. Barstaff never seems irritated to sere flights and generally know their stuff. Beer list kept up to date on beermenus. Pricing is average for Manhattan. I have not tried the food. Ample seating without feeling impersonal; can accommodate a group. Much easier to navigate than other beer mecas (Pony, Blind Tiger, Rattle, etcetera).
