Un bric à brac un peu dépassé par les évènements. Sans faute vérifier les dates.

Visited a couple of times in late January and early February in 2017. Located not that far from my hotel, The Lafayette. The selection was good, Pliny The Elder available some days. (you have to ask) Very good opening hours.

A convenience/liquor store that doesn’t look like much from the outside but has a quite respectable lineup inside. A nice option in the area.

Quite big place with a good selection. Prices were good and some beers were on discount. Nice owner who knew about beer.

This is just about across the street from Belching Beaver’s tasting room in North Park, so might as well hit it if you’re going there.

Looks pretty much like your typical dumpy liquor store from the outside, but they advertise having some insane number of beers on the window. Inside it appears to serve both the beer connoisseur and the brother just trying to get wasted.

Lots of coolers full of everything under the sun from San Diego. Alpine, Lost Abbey, Hess, Alesmith, some random barrel aged stuff from Mission and Coronado, Modern Times special/rotating releases...all sorts of good stuff from outside of the area too like Almanac barrel aged series beers, barrel aged stuff from the Bruery...they also have a bunch of glassware.

Very nice selection of SD beers as well as a lot of German and Belgian ales. Nice service, reasonable prices. Had a few Russian River and Alpine beers available when I went (now he’s sold out :p)

I really like this place a lot. I have been here quite a few times since I live in the North Park area. They open until 2am on Friday/Saturday which is awesome since I am always in the need of beer. I recommend more people to check it out. I love the owners since they are so humble and nice. It is hard to see this within people. if you are in the area, I promise you will not be disappointed.

I guess parking isn’t bad since a hand written sign in the window states there is parking in the back. I didn’t notice the sign until I spent 20 minutes searching for a place. Standard store that is fully worn in. I love how something like 80% of their beer is stored in the coolers. Gotta love it. Lots of local stuff and a few local and west coast breweries that were new to me. I didn’t find anything rare but the prices were good and due to the cold storage chances are good that IPA is going to be in fine condition. Friendly staff that I didn’t get a chance to engage since it was a little busy during my visit. I’ll be back for sure next time I’m in the area. Not sure it is worth a long trek to visit but if you’re nearby . . .

There’s a lot of beer. I walked out with over 20 bottles. Guy/owner claims to have been there over 30 years. He collects beer. He stocks really good beer. The variety rivals South Bay Drug. More people should be aware of this place. Great experience.

I am going to offer up my first review by reviewing the liquor store down the street. This store is located near 30th and El Cajon in San Diego just a little west of the 805. Don’t be fooled by the neighborhood, and don’t think that the sign out front is a trick - this store really does have a very large selection of bottled beers. Yes, they have a wide selection of clientele (you can tell this by the fact that they not only have $30 bottles of beer in store, but they also have MD 20 20 and Thunderbird available). The beer selection is incredible - there are literally 8 full refrigerator doors of exotic beers. Many are Belgian, but quite a few are German, English, Italian, Czech and so on. The prices are varied so you can find something at any price. You can get exotics that you likely have never heard of for as little as a couple of bucks or for as much as $30 or $40 a bottle. The people that run this store are really nice. They are quiet, but they are really nice. They have other things that beer - its a little convenience/liquor store afterall. However, the main attraction is the beer. Check it out - its in the back far corner of the building. Generally there are metered spots available at all times out front of their store. If you are going to Toronado down the street, or the Linkery, etc stop by - this is a great local store and they really have an excellent selection.
