82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 17/20 jercraigs (234) Toronto, Ontario | May 5, 2013 2013-04-26. Arrived for lunch time on a Friday afternoon and it was relatively quiet. Enjoyed a couple of Hill Farmstead beers on tap and shared a small pizza. I wish we had been hungrier as the pizza was great. The crust was a bit different, in a good way. We got the Green Mountain (?) special which had and interesting mix of toppings and drizzled with maple syrup. It was delicious but made me wonder what the more traditional toppings were like. Yumm! Pretty decent tap selection for a small pizza place in the middle of nowhere! When driving look for the general store, the pizza place is around back. We actually drove past before realizing it was the same place. Will definitely be coming pack if we are in the area again. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 18/20 Half_Street (1) Virginia | January 3, 2013 What’s not to like here - cozy, off-the-beaten-track restaurant, excellent pizza and great beer (sampled both Founders Porter and HF Twilight of the Idols Porter on tap on a cold snowy night), plus friendly staff and engaging locals. Worth the drive "halfway to Canada." | 94 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 19/20 adamjackson (112) Lyme, New Hampshire | December 14, 2012 I love Parker Pie! Amazing beer and pizza. Fantastic ambiance. Local feel and always a fun place to eat after a long day of buying beer. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 tom10101 (36) Quebec | November 4, 2012 Stopper there after a visit at Hill Farmstead. Good selection for a small restaurant (including some HF on tap and pleasant surprise from time to time). Their pizza is insanely good. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 MartinT (521) Montreal, Quebec | October 13, 2012 Very pleasant little Vermont restaurant at the back of the very pleasant country store. Great home-y pizzas, very nice beer board (Hill Farmstead and a few other stellar offerings), friendly service... Perfectly authentic New England village restaurant; loved it. | 82 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 JulienHuxley (130) Trois-Rivieres, Quebec | September 26, 2012 Visited before the HF Harvest Festival. Beautifully set very deep in the Vermont countryside in a tiny community. Has a bit of an old general store feel to it all, great ambiance. Staff was friendly all throughout and service was good. The food is mainly pizzas and they are really good. They have quite a selection of them made with farm fresh vermont ingredients which is fun. As far as beer goes well they always have a keg of Hill Farmstead on, plus several other fun rotating choices. If you ever drive remotely close to West Glover, Vt I highly recommend you stop by, I doubt you’ll be disappointed. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 auerbrau (278) Peace Dale, Rhode Island | August 13, 2012 Visited Parker Pie after the Festival of Farmhouse Ales to get some pizza. I love the atmosphere, the pizza is fantastic, and the draft pours are very good. I think as pizza restaurants go, this is particularly good for craft beer, especially considering that there are two Hill Farmstead taps on. At the time, it was Edward and James. I enjoyed a pint of James with a very good Margherita pizza. The vibe is great, the service was fantastic and the food and beer are great. Definitely a stop to hit! I love the backyard too. | 72 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 mikem409 (161) bloomfield, Michigan | August 12, 2012 Stopped by after hill farm small but excellent beer selection great pizza seat your self and order from bar. Looks and fells like summer camp | 82 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 16/20 TURDFERGUSON (147) Carrboro, North Carolina | June 9, 2012 A really fun place. Visited here with Shaun Hill on a slower monday night. Definitely a locals spot but would be a destination for me if I lived within 30 miles. Pizza was awesome, obviously a few Hill Farmstead on tap and some other good regional beers. We happen to come on trivia night which was probably the most relaxed and laid back trivia I’ve ever seen at a bar. Great vibes here. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 19/20 pushkinwow (70) Ottawa, Ontario | February 3, 2012 Needed a place to eat near Hill Farmstead and this seemed perfect - and it was. There is a general store up front that is sorta small but you can still eat there before 5, after 5 the back opens up. The pizza is some of the best I’ve had ever, and some of salads and other stuff coming out of the kitchen looked delicious as well - not too mention reasonable. There are 10 taps plus 2 for non-alcoholic interesting things (one root beer one something I can’t even pronounce let alone spell but it was still tasty) - a couple from HF and the rest were decent - plus they sell bottles (mostly DFH) and had bottles you could buy as well - had Pearl Jam and Bitches Brew just sitting in the fridge. Atmosphere is great, very relaxed with good service, and on Thursday (night we were there) they had a folk/acoustic act that was very good (and not too loud). Worth the visit. |
