MrBunn | Stopped in the other day as I was bombing down I-94. Fairly easy to get to from the interstate, not hard to find. Stepping in the door, I immediately was struck by the cluttered ski lodge look to things. I was only in to pick up some Three Floyds, so I did only a cursory glance at the rest of the stuff, but it looks pretty decent to me. Staff asked if I was finding everything OK, and then if I really liked beer or something like that. Nice enough place, and may be a staple now that FFF has limited their distribution.

esjaygee | Just a short jaunt off the freeway, this little place on the corner was an unexpected find on my trip. The store itself is tiny, but there’s beer to be had everywhere, and a lot of good beer at that. Mix them up, if you like, with no upcharge. That’s the way I like it. There were some beers here I had never seen before – I wish I would have written them down. I couldn’t believe how busy this place was. Decent selection of Indiana and regional beers, even a discount section with one dollar a bottle offerings. Cashier was friendly to everyone and helpful. A must stop if in the area.

iowaherkeye | Thanks to the bartender from iShoreline/I for pointing out this place to us. Didn’t catch the two ladies’ names who were helping us, but they were both knowledgeable and nice. The cheapest I’d ever seen GI BCS$16.99/4pack! Had a fair amount of 3F, Back Road, Bells, and Stone. There were also some others. I don’t recall seeing much for imports, so did I somehow miss this? The store (outside and inside) made me think of an old backwoods cabin-like bait shop. We were able to break up six-packs, and they even had a $1 a beer section, which she warned us isn’t always the best idearegardless, I picked out six new beerswe’ll see if they’re in good enough shape to rate. Highly recommended if you’re anywhere near Shoreline Brewing in Michigan City.

| Punchy | I would have given the best little liquor store in Porter, IN close to a perfect, but Santa depleted her stock a little bit....I bet there are alot of happy beer-happy elves running around because of that fact! Lizzie has alot of information that can help everyone out no matter what their situation..she also gets crazy when you asked for something that is not available to her or Indiana at this writing..she will always try her best to get anything for you. She whould be a distributor and the little Midwest state of Indiana would be better served! Thanks Lizzie for the beer and the yummy nights of taste testing with all of my goodies I get at your store everytime I stop. My visa loves the place..see you soon

mdm46410 | A tiny, unasumming beer store in the middle of nowhere. Doesn’t look like much, but the micro/import selection is fantastic(DFH, Mikkeler, Cantillion, also lots of local such as BackRoad and FFF). The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Definately worth a stop if you are in the area.

jezmez68 | This is a great store for the Porter/Chesterton area. Back Road Brews, Three Floyds, Bell’s, and others, including tons of imports. Home of Lizzie, the self-appointed beer geek. She is great!

Cornfield | This is a small shop, but they have a splendid selection of beers not available in the Chicago area. Best yet, they allow you to break up sixers, a nice touch for folk llike me who want some of Everything. The staff is friendly and helpful, even to the point of getting you the best deal on your purchases. This makes a great stop between the Chicago region and the Shoreline Brewery in Michigan City. I’ll be back.

| slabhauler | great little place. they have a large selection of off the wall beers and ales. They also let you mix and make up your own 6-pack from any beer they have. Very friendly and helpful. I try to stop in there once a week.
Large selection of wine also.
p.s. I’m one of the mill guys turning into
a beer snob.
