kind of a hidden spot east of chicago. decent selection for a fairy small sized store. limited selection of singles, buti was able to find quite a few interesting thing unavailable in Michigan.

Small place with a decent beer selection, including plenty of FFF. Good prices. Very friendly and helpful proprietor. Worth a stop.

This use to be a great place to go. There is this B I G fat kid working there, about 16 years old and weighing 4,000 lbs. anyway, he is rude and talks dirty to young girls-asking "what color panties they have on"? Sick. The prices are outrageous-but everything is going up and the service and quality are droping like flies. Take care. N

A small, unassuming store that, from the outside, could be easily mistaken for just another roadside beer shop selling nothing to the left of Bud Light. Once inside, however, you’ll discover the best selection of domestic craft beers in the Chesterton/ Porter/ Portage area, and at very reasonable prices. Be sure to check out the rack of singles selling for a buck apiece.

Very small unsuspecting store, Pulled in here and turned out it was an interesting place. They manage to fit a lot of beer in a small space. They had offerings of FFF, H of D, the bruery and other interesting brews, Enjoyable stop, worth a look if your going by, friendly staff as well.

Totally unassuming place. Best beer selection in the area. Great staff. They know beer. Great value too.

Cool place. Ski lodge-ish. Employees are good people with good beer knowledge. OK selection. Good rares but a little lacking in everyday locals. Would prefer to see more from the region and less from Colorado/Maine. Prices a bit high, but pretty much on par for the region.

Pretty much the last stop in NW Indiana for good beer. Owner is great and very knowledgeable. Good selection. Small place, but impressive considering other liquor stores in the area.

great little out of the way revelation in Porter, IN, just a mile or so from the Indiana Dunes! strong micro/craft and organic selection partnered with plenty of the cheap populist swill. the palpable hippie ambience echoes throughout. the prices are a bit high but I understand. My main complaint is actually the fairly weak wine selection. but since this is RATEBEER, this does not figure in to my ratings!
