Went on a Friday night and the place was busy, but still enough parking in the back and some seating still available. Beer menu selection was good, great prices, and great service. Not sure if they have any other glassware other than shaker, but there is always a minor detail. This place is great and will hopefully be going back.

I fell in love with this place when I went to college at the University of Kentucky. The food is incredible and the beer selection is always fantastic. I have some incredible memories sitting outside on their pation drinking an ice cold beer on a hot summer afternoon. This is a great place to go to get a nice taste of the college life.

If you’re not a part of the college crowd this place might not have the ideal ambience. Nonetheless, this is a nice place to relax and drink some great pints. They have a sizable draft list featuring many American crafts. Enjoyed an Alpha King, Pumking, and Breakfast Stout. Service was very slow and inattentive so be prepared to wait. The pizzas and pretzel appetizer were pretty tasty and prices are reasonable. Overall, a good spot for beer lovers.

Good selection for Lexington. Not a ton of variety, but Stone and Dogfish Head on tap. I wish Alpha King would be on tap all the time. Need to mix it up more.

(Visited 09/2010): Stopped in Lexington on a drive from Columbus to Nashville, and Pazzo’s was the choice for lunch. It is located right near the UK campus on Limestone and Winslow. Metered street parking is pretty abundant in the area. Pazzo’s is multi-level and has an upstair patio and bars on both floors. As expected there is a lot of UK paraphernalia and TVs, plus a good collection of tap handles. The bar boasts 40+ taps including Great Lakes, Founders, Rogue, Kentucky Brewing, Goose Island, Schlafly, Stone, Three Floyds, Leffe, Bell’s and more. As for bottles there are over 100 organized by country on the menu. Domestic brewers include Avery, Dogfish Head, Stone, Rogue, Ommegang and many more. Many countries are represented such as Africa, Argentina, Brazil (etc) with several from Belgium such as Kasteel and Westmalle. Pazzo’s is known for their pizza and that is what we ordered. The BBQ chicken pizza was very good, and we took the leftovers with us to eat later. Overall this place is a great stop for anyone in the UK vicinity.

lot’s of drafts. plenty of room. caters to various crowds: college, snobs, intellectuals, jocks... Great place though it tends to smell of bleach sometimes.

I’ve been to Pazzo’s a lot, although I’ve stopped going for Wednesday night Pint Nights to avoid the crowds, and because my cupboard is already full of their pint glasses. The draft slection here is hands-down the best in Lexington, and the beer prices are very reasonable (at least for good beers in Lexington). The pretzels and pizzas are very good. If you’re in Lexington and looking for a good beer and good food, I’d definitely recommend Pazzo’s.

Went here after Keeneland or the Lexington-Frankfort part of the Bourbon Trail, I can’t remember which, and forgot to rate it. Pretty standard pizza joint from the front and entrance, but there are a couple rooms and patios you might not notice, so it’s a big place. Pizza is pretty good, nothing amazing. The tap list is impressive- 38 listed here, but I counted 42. Over 100 bottles for sure, and a nice range, from the cheap swill for UK students to some unexpected micros. Three Floyds is now here- Dreadnaught bottles and Robert the Bruce on tap as of this writing- along with the standards: Stone, DFH, Goose Island, Great Divide, Abita, Avery, Founders (Cerise!), Rogue, Left Hand, Brooklyn, Breckenridge, Nogne O, Schneider, Ayinger, Unibroue, Sam Smith, Fuller’s, Chimay, Duvel, BBC, and Lexington-Alltech (Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale). Friendly staff, good service, good prices. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in Lexington.

We were looking forward to this, given the reviews. It’s not all that great. The food, while cheap, was also CHEAP (quality and price). Maybe, being so close to the university, they can scrimp on quality and not lose their clientele. The beer selection was good, very good, and not being from Kentucky and therefore not used to the lower tax environment, it seemed that the beer was a good value for its price. But the food was pretty pedestrian (my pizza was uninspiring--no, strike that, it inspired me to stop eating it.) While friendly, I can’t say it holds a candle to many of the other good beer and pizza places in the USA. Those who gave it a good rating have to get out more.

Nice place, with full bar, pub style upstairs and patio. Service was fast, but not so knowledgeable. My friend and I received tumblers for drinks that should have snifters and tulips. Still, I have heard this is not typical, but the inconsistency is noted. Solid beer selection, but nothing too exotic. I could find most of their beers at the local Liquor Barn for cheaper. Got a HUGE slice of pizza for around two dollars, with a large variety of toppings. It was pretty good, but nothing to call home about. You would think a "world class" PIZZA pub would have better pizza. Bottles were a little high at times (especially imports). Overrated.
