I didn’t expect to find anyplace with a half-decent beer selection, but wandered into one of the expat supermarkets on the main drag and discovered a healthy selection of Belgian micros at the back: Mort Subite Gueuze even! That stuff is hard enough to find on other continents, and here it shows up in the humid climes of central Africa. These things are expensive, but if you’re in the city and really need to find a decent beer selection, definitely give it a try.
