| wchesser (13), Denver, Colorado | | May 1, 2012 This place is legit. Saw the reviews and had to make a drive out while in San Ramon on work. Tons of Bruery (4 French and other limiteds), Alesmith (the whole line), Ballast Point (Victory at Sea and Sea Monster), Mikkeller, JW Lees, North Coast...list goes on. Knowledgeable staff (one of them anyway).
Picked up a Mikkeller/FFF Boogoop, a Victory at Sea, a High Water Campfire Stout, a local triple IPA, some 21st Amendment The Allies Win the War, and more. | | Scopey (150), Croydon, England | | March 11, 2012 We stopped past here on our way to Yosemite form Santa Rosa. It’s a fairly unassuming liquor store from outside, excluding the small sign saying craft beer. It has a very extensive selection of beers from all over the world - US, Belgium, Denmark, UK etc. It’s a large store and pretty much half of it is dedicated to beer! Lots of exciting stuff from the best CA breweries like Alesmith, Stone, The Bruery etc, but there is also lots of obscure stuff I have never seen or even heard of before. Perhaps prices are a touch more expensive than those in the bay area, but you can’t argue with the selection. Very friendly service. A brilliant beer store. | snotrocket (7), does not count - explanation | | December 29, 2011 Wow, probably one of the best selection of rare/special release beers that I’ve seen. Coolers full of limited edition, barrel aged beers. The beer specialist was extremely knowledgeable and helped me with beers I’ve never seen before. There’s also a big selection in the walk in cooler and in the back room. The prices on the rarer stuff is a little pricy, so know your prices and you can come out with a great score. | | danbierman (10), California | | August 23, 2011 Overall a great Craft Beer Store. Amazing selection, from local beers to imports they have anything your looking for. Service is good, most of the people know what they are talking about. The downfall of the store is pricing. Every single beer in the store is overpriced. They sell standard beers for at least 15-20% more than most craft beer stores. If they got they pricing down to a more reasonable level then I would be a more frequent customer. | KrausenJockey (4), Stockton, California does not count - explanation | | July 28, 2011 Harpreet has really taken the beer selections to a new high. The wall of cold storage is just packed full of goodies for every beer drinker. A few backroom specials are always interesting as well. Nice job guys. | | hoosiers1994 (20), Maryland | | June 17, 2011 I like to hit this place when I am in town to stock up on the brews I cannot get back in MD. The staff is very helpful and knowledgable. Great to talk beer with them. Selection is very good with many beers I never see in my area. Prices are OK, but the rarer stuff can cost you. Overall, it is a must stop anytime I am in town. Thanks for keeping such a great place. | | sax (10), California | | June 13, 2011 Low marks for ambiance being that it’s a hole in the wall liquor shop. But WHAT a beer selection! When you walk in, it looks like your run of the mill liquor shop but as soon as you lay eyes on the beer section, you realize you have found something quite special. | TexasBeerBear (1), Amarillo, Texas does not count - explanation | | December 14, 2010 I was visiting Livermore for a business trip. Based on rateBeer comments, I had to stop by. Amazing. One of the few places I’ve been recently where there was more on the self that I had not tried than I had tried. Unfortunately, I did not have the proper glassware to sample my selections. Not to fear, they were kind enough to go in the back and find me a Lost Abbey goblet (which I had been wanting anyway). Prices seemed a little high, but I did not have the ability to comparison shop for a really good opinionbased on the area. Perry’s is definitely worth the stop. | Magnusuberhops (3), does not count - explanation | | December 13, 2010 sevice is great and selection is great...a lil on the pricey side for some items but they know they one of the best selections around...i have picked up some pretty rare beers from here and always look forward to finding something rare...thanks to everyone that works there they are so great and helpful.. | Cannile (2), California does not count - explanation | | September 9, 2010 Incredible selction. I MUST stop by Perry’s every time I head to the bay area from Sacramento. It’s not hard to spend a quick $150 there. VAST selection, and well worth your time to browse every shelf in every door, since you’ll never know what gems you’ll come across. Reasonably priced. Harpreet is very helpful, knowledgable, and inviting. Well worth the time to stop by. |
