Peter B’s has a nice selection of house beers, all high quality, with a couple superstars. Kevin Clark, the brewer, has a good list of awards to his credit. The gold-medal Russian Imperial Stout is fit for a tsar! I’ve never had bad food here, but frankly I go for the beer!

The beer is the real draw here. The food is average at best, the service is so-so, but the beer is the reason to go. Have not sat at the bar yet, so I will rethink the whole thing after that. I ordered a sampler, which took a while to get, and was mixed up from what I had ordered. They fixed that problem. the only reason I am rating it at 70 is, again, for the beer. Compared to past visits, the new brewer, Kevin, is head and shoulders above the last one. OK, stopped back again for beers at the bar with a buddy, and Kevin was in, got to chat with him for a bit. I recommend sitting at the bar and getting an appetizer.

Nice server, ok beers, ordered the fish and chips which was WAY more chips than fish. Rib tips were like overcooked bones with cry thin layer of what was passable for meet. 40 Acre Pale was quite nice, IPA was not great. Pretty sweet and iced tea strong.

Brewpub stuck away in the center of Monterey. Typical American pub. Decent homebrews, American food. Friendly service.

First impressionsw were OK, looked fancy, but they didn’t have their full seasonals on the menu, nor did they have a good taster deal. I got the mai bock which isn’t on here and wasn’t worth adding. The service was horrible! We waited to have our order taken, then forever to get the drinks even, and longer to get food, we were there for lunch and it was not crowded. The only thing that was fast was the check. Not to pleased with them during my visit to Monterey.

With a mixed tourist and local crowd be sure to bring your own good company to this standard brewpub. They experiment with many different styles and some of them end up tasting really nice - but some don’t.

Great service and the brewer even came out to talk about the beers when I got two samplers with all eight beers. All were very good, even the lighter styles

Average brewpub with average to mediocre beers. The brewer was on premises, and we asked to say hi. We there there for over 2 hours, with a group of 6, and he never showed his face. Oh well, his loss. Food was average pub fare.

This is a typical sports bar with a bunch of TVs tuned to Monday Night Football. There is a nice curved wooden bar with a dozen stools. There are also 8 tables and about 15 booths. It’s a nice clean place attached to an upscale hotel. There is a decent bar food menu. The beers are rather mediocre, but the staff is friendly and helpful. There is an excellent selection of single malt scotch. The prices are very reasonable and It’s a fun place to hang out.

Worth a stop. It’s pretty and the views are nice. Pleasant courtyard and outdoor dining. Beers are not bad though lacking in excitement.
