| ajm (161), Los Angeles, California | | November 22, 2009 Live band karaoke. Pretty good pizza. The prettiest girls in the city. Cameltoe EPA. Some smokin’ guest taps. An awesome vibe and big floorplan. I loved it. Saturday night has a name in Chicago: Piece. | | michael-pollack (71), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania | | November 2, 2009 Nice bar ambiance. Good service. Good selection of house beers and very good draughts and botles. Very good New-Haven style pizza. Reasonable prices. | | megrut (15), Chicago, Illinois | | October 7, 2009 Beers are certainly hit or miss, but the pizza is consistently good. The Flat Iron Stout and Hop Heavy Hefeweizen rank as the better beers. Typically crowded and noisy, however you can carry out both the pizza and beer if you’re looking for a calmer atmosphere. | | PilsnerPeter (95), Flushing, New York | | August 25, 2009 Nice spacious place with a long half moon bar and high ceilings of wood and sky lights. Nice selection of different styles and all the beers are solid. I really enjoyed their Cap’n Kick Ass IPA. The pizza looked outstanding, but regretfully I arrived with a belly full of grub. Each sampler glass was a $1, so I got to try all the beers for $8. Cool brewpub. | | phaleslu (86), Cincinnati, Ohio | | August 16, 2009 [ Updated September 8, 2009 ] Outstanding pizza brewpub in Wicker Park. Good use of old garage style room with arched wood frame ceiling (found a lot in Chicago, particularly on west side), and a nice ambiance overall. Sometimes this place can be incredibly crowded, even on weeknights, so expect to wait. The thin-to-medium crust pizza is fantastic, probably my favorite in Chicago- I’m not a huge fan of deep dish, though. Always several of their own brews on tap and a few solid guest taps. I tried the Top Heavy Hefeweizen and Dark ’n Curvy Dunkelweizen last time I was there, and both are excellent, especially for their categories. Strongly recommended. | | waolsen (60), Littleton, Colorado | | July 7, 2009 great atmosphere. great beer and excellent pizza. The bathroom also has a hand blower called the Accelerator that will boggle your mind. Good guest tap list. Must hit. | | timsilvia32 (37), from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina | | July 5, 2009 Near the Wicker Park area, which is a nice towny area northwest of downtown. Cool looking old warehouse or manufacturing facility turned into a brewpub. Looked like about 7 of their own beers and 3 or so regional guests. Looked like you would have a good chance of trying something new the brewer was rotating through. Oatmeal Stout was new in place of the menued Dark Bier. Prices descent for the town. Pizza was pretty good, I think I would have liked it more if the toppings were picked just for me, but I was sharing. Bartender service was ok, knew just enough about the beers. Kitchen was extreamly slow, but the place was dead and they had been open for over an hour so no excuse. 40 minutes for 1 small pizza? Anyway, seems worth stopping in, at least for beer when the place isn’t slammed busy. | TwoDudes (3), Louisville, Kentucky does not count - explanation | | June 22, 2009 I LOVE PIECE!!! Ate there last week with family. The pizza was off the hook delicious (white pizza with pepperoni, fresh basil and garlic, with extra garlic) That, and I was able to declare Piece’s Full Frontal Pale Ale my favorite beer of all time. I drank my weight in it that night and brought a growler home too...Service was good, it was packed, but that just added to the overall experience...My favorite place to eat in Chicago... | | illinismitty (224), Nashville, Tennessee | | June 21, 2009 I stopped in for a late lunch on father’s day. The place was not very busy, which is fine with me. The room is very open with a cool sunken area near the front, and a few private booths to the right. Very casual atmosphere with a cheap chic vibe. I am a pizza snob since I am from the area, and I think the pizza is very good ( I went with the red). The thin crust had a crisp bottom and they use quality ingredients. I was also very impressed with the house beers. 7 out of 8 that I tried were very good and they do have guest taps. They will do small sample glasses of all their beers if you ask, and it’s not that expensive. Service on our visit was excellent. If you are a Cheap Trick fan, Rick Neilson has his 5 neck Hamer on display, which I thought was cool as hell. | | daknole (90), Plantation, Florida | | April 29, 2009 Nice selection of taps, cheap as balls to sample their beers. service was slow as molasses. But very friendly. |
