Nice place. Cozy and warm. Has a constantly rotating tap selection with more in the bottle. Good traditional Nordic food. Best choice is a heaping bowl of buttered popcorn (not really nordic, I guess). An after work staple.
Located in the heart of the bity of Bergen Norway, this is small place with few choices on the food menu. Everything my family ordered was excellent, if basic Norwegien fare.
The beers were quite good. There were 18 local microbrews on tap and nearly 30 more beers in bottle. I liked that they offered two sizes for each draft beer 20 cl or 35 cl. This allowed me to try four new beers without feeling any ill-effects.
The service was slow but very pleasant. It seemed like they were understaffed. Very informal--a bit like having Mom serve you.
Overall, we really liked the "local" atmosphere, the excellent food and the variety of beers. The price for beer is on the expensive side (like all of Norway).
Cozy and relaxed atmosphere with fairly decent selection of brews on tap. Not terribly exiting, but friendly service and the food looked nice even thou we didn’t try it. Central location and worth dropping by.
Just came back from having dinner at this place. Fish gratin well matched by the staff with a Nøgne Ø Blonde. Fair enough selection and not a bad place. Just located in a town with plenty of better alternatives.
This is a fun little restaurant close to Henrik, which is a nice combo. Very casual and unpretentious. Plenty of tourists come here for the "authentic" Norwegian home cookin all the guide books rave about. Food was surprisingly expensive for such a casual place. Busy but not packed on a Friday night, does not take reservations so come early and have a beer while you wait for a table. Good variety on tap, mostly lighter styles that go well with food. Not a place to come to for the beer alone, but a great place for dinner accompanied by nice beer. Our waiter/bartender was very helpful and service-minded.
Not a favorite place of mine for ambience, but the beer selection is quite nice, the waitors friendly and quick, and it’s a nice place to stop by for a dinner. I can especially recommend the whale steak, which I know might offend some people, but it’s delicious and then some. The beer selection is a blend of Norwegian micro and both standard and some special imports. Guess the foreign visitor will find more new ratings here than the Norwegian rater.
