| barleyPops (58), Quad-Cities, Illinois | | October 14, 2009 beer-wise this was the highlight of our DC trip! outstanding bottle selection and 12 great brews on tap. the toppings on our pizza were as fresh and full of flavor as I can ever remember having on pizza. the wait staff was friendly and it was no problem when I asked for one draft to be served in two glasses so Illini08 & I could share it. if I was a local, I’d frequent this place on a regular basis! | | argo0 (180), Washington DC | | October 2, 2009 Stopped in for lunch, and was delighted. I sat at the bar, and received great service from Bryan. The pizzas are the same wonderful offerings as ever, be it G’town or the old Dupont location. The 12 taps include several rarities, just like the G’town selections. Plenty of great bottles as well. The down side is that there are only 12, but the up side is that it’s much more Metro accessible. Seems like a worthwhile trade-off. | | Travlr (41), Washington, Washington DC | | August 28, 2009 Sat next to the beer editor of Washington DC’s City Paper on the invitation-only pre-opening of the Dupont Circle branch of Birreria Paradiso. Has 12 taps and one cask, plus 180 bottles, well-chosen by Greg, the beer manager from their Georgetown branch. Same grat pizza as the Georgetown branch. Bar and restaurant are all on one level, decent enough set up. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Best selection and prices in the district, and only a block fro the Dupont Circle metro. Easy to see why they call it Paradise! |
