76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20
Visited later in the evening on a Wednesday. Downtown, renovated older building with a ton of cool brick and wood in the interior. Tables and booths as you enter, with a bigger bar towards the back. Mostly a younger crowd, fun and loud. The bartender was great, efficient, knowledgeable and funny. 26 taps mostly craft, with a great selection of PNW beers and other national favorites. Cool bar, certainly worth hitting if you are in downtown Spokane.
76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)
I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Good pub-type bar in the bottom of a hotel in Spokane. Decent local beer selection on tap. Service was prompt and friendly. Iíll stop in here again the next time Iím in Spokane.

Good beer selection. Food is tasty, and reasonably priced. Happy Hour is a must visit. Went on 3 separate occassionís in 3 days and the first night (Monday) was very quiet. I did not realise until later that Spokane is pretty much dead on a Monday, anyway!! 2nd & 3rd visits we sat at the bar, and had a much better time; the place was a lot more lively as this was the night Elysian was tapping their pumpkin, and the staff seemed livelier too. Even though this is a ícorporateí hotel bar, still a good little destination in Spokane.

Great beer prices, food is a bit spendy. Look for happy hour. Large bottle selection and good amount of handles. Well decorated and furnished

This place is so typical of the entire "inland empire". 26 beers or whatever on tap, and every one a yawn. Got Clemís lager (that should be close enough to the name) and I couldnít finish it. Lousy brew, plus very stale tasting. Had a taste of Ommegang BPA and it smelled/tasted like chlorine. Canít blame the pub though, if they had some really good beer nobody would drink it. DUH.

The Post Street Ale House certainly has a lot of taps. The problem is that most of them are pretty pedestrian options. At least half the taps are dedicated to the usual fare you can get anywhere in town (Blue Moon, Kokanee, etc.). They usually have a handful of interesting taps, but they donít compare to what you can find elsewhere in town. The food is pretty generic pub fare, not terrible but not too exciting. There servers and bartenders are nice and helpful.
